Average price on LI for a rabbi?

What is the average price on LI for a rabbi? My FH and I just met with a rabbi we really like but he said he charges $600. Is that high, low, average? Please let me know!!

I just answered you on the jewish brides post...its standard, we're paying aroudn that ball park as well

if we use the rabbi we're planning on using he's around 400-500 (dont remember which) but not from LI and a family friend. i'd say 600 sounds about right.

we're paying $500, plus $50 ea. hour of travel time...so $600.

We are paying $750 b/c they are traveling in from the city.

We paid $375 each for a priest and a rabbi, but to be honest, I wasn't impressed by the rabbi at all.

Our cantor is $750.. we met with someone who was cheaper like 500- but we didn't like him.
