That happened to us too. We decided not to buy the house, it wasn't worth it. We found a much nicer house that needs absolutely nothing done to it..

How is the neighborhood? I always heard that you were supposed to buy the crappiest house on the block and fix it up...

I'm sorry that it didn't work out for you, you must be really upset. But as you said yourself, if it was meant to be it would have happened. Good luck finding something else that you love just as much, hopefully even more.
