We didn't get a card from both DHs cousins. Apparently they forgot them and were going to send them in the mail. Still haven't gotten anything. Ugh, what do we do? Leave it alone or tactfully try to say something?

Re: Awkward situtation
i didn't get one from my step brother or half sister...
i would maybe casually say something like, hey i know you said you were going to send a card to us but we didn't get it so i want t omake sure it didn't get lost or something. i dunno that sounds cheesy but i have no idea how you casually bring it up!

Re: Awkward situtation
send them a thank you card (thanks for attending) and hope they remember that they never sent a gift .... but if they never send it, don't say anything.

ITA with Mor. Send them a thank you for coming card, don't mention anything. it sucks that they 'forgot' but hopefully they're telling the truth.

MY MOH had this situation when she got married. Her cousin came to the wedding (and brought a date no less!)and didn't give a gift, let alone a card.
She called her a week or so after the honeymoon just to let me know that she didn't see a card from her and 'just wanted to make sure it wasn't lost.' The girl never called back but sent a (lame) gift about 2 weeks after that.
It's probably not worth it, sadly.

I feel for you, we got stiffer by my ILs...asking them what happened turned into a huge argument. Hope you have better luck.

Re: Awkward situtation
this happened to me too. According to wedding etiquette, the guests have up to a year from the wedding date to give a gift. Maybe they're abiding by this, even though this is kind of old fashioned. GL!!

I agree with this. Sometimes people wait until their next paycheck or whatever to give a gift. I'd wait a bit, and if you don't get anything for like 3 months then just send a thank you, thanking them for coming.

Re: Awkward situtation
Send a thank you card for coming.
I'm convinced I have adult ADD, so I would legit leave the card at home, tell someone I'm so sorry and that I was gonna send it and then keep forgetting to go to the Post Office (Since my carrier doesn't take mail from my house for some reason) and it would be like months later and I'd find the card in a stack of mail and be like OH CRAP! I need to send this!! LOL, but if I got a thank you card, that would jostle my memory and kick my butt in gear.
Try to give the benefit of the doubt, if you send a thank you and they were legit gonna send something, they will send it. If not, then just write it off. Sucks but people aren't perfect.

Re: Awkward situtation
When we did our civil ceremony if Feb, and our big dinner in March, my dad said he forgot our card in his car. That was in March... There's nothing to say. If someone wants to give a gift or card, they will. I refuse to ask!
