Awww FH
I had probably the worst day at work EVER yesterday, which literally resulted in me throwing things at the wall, but that's neither here nor there. FH was off, because it was his alternate day off, so he decided to go get his massage from the salon, which was his bday present from A YEAR AGO lol. The salon is out by me, so he just killed some time afterwards and was going to come straight to my house when I got home from work, because normally on Fridays he just comes over after dinner and we relax.
So at 4:55 he called me at work and said that he was on the main road back to my house, and if he should turn around to meet me at work, or just go to my house. I told him to just go to my house and my mom would let him in, and don't worry, she won't bite him, and I'd be home in 15-20 minutes (I work less than 15 minutes from home).
So I leave work, and go home, and I pull in and he's not there. He should have been at my house 5 minutes tops after calling me, so I started to panic a bit, wondering where he was, did he get in an accident? He couldn't have, I take the same road back home and would have seen it if he was pulled over.
I walk in the front door and my mom said he wasn't there yet, obviously, and then he pulls in literally right behind me. I was like was he being a jerk and waiting around the corner because he didn't want to sit with my mom for 15 minutes??? Already in a really bad mood from work, I was ready to snap at him if that was the case, or for just in general getting me scared and worried.
Then he came out of his car holding a bakery box![]()
My little monkey brought me a box full of cannolis for no reason at all! He didn't even know what an awful day I had at that point. The bakery is literally around the corner from my house too, and I drive past it to go home, and as he walked back out the door of it he saw the back of my car going past and he was afraid that I saw his car in the parking lot, which I didn't because I was too distracted by the idiot tailgating me.
I feel like such a guy, that the way through my heart is through my stomach LOL. I'm just so happy, because I've been having a really rough time at work this week, and I've been very emotional, and for FH to do something pretty out of character and surprise me was so nice. He used to surprise me with food treats a lot in the beginning, and stopped for a while, and I missed the romantic gestures. I'm so glad it's back, even if it was an isolated incident!![]()
