Ayanna, where are you getting your dress made?

Hey Ayanna,
I'm thinking about getting my gown made, just wanted to know who you are using. I live in the city so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Ayanna, did you check out any other designers or you knew this was the guy? I've been to 2 places where they make wedding gowns and I personally didn't like the seamstresses.

May I ask who you have seen? I am probably going this route myself. I was going to take my sister in law up on her offer to make my dress (she sews for a designer who does custom leather clothing) but my Mother had such a fit I didn't want to strees her out.

Fran, I looked at cherrie pattern and design (advertises on 'the knot', and Rose's boutique (advertises by the bridal building). That's great that your sister-in-law is a seamstress. Has she ever made a wedding gown? It can be pretty expensive getting a dress made, but I've looked all over for my gown and had no luck. Good luck with your search.

I'll check out your two and The Husband Shop.I have heard someone on this board is using them. I also have a recommendation from my cousin for someone on the island. This lady is a seamstress that works in a bridal shop and makes gowns on the side. I'll let you know how it works out.

Hi Ayanna I knew I saw something about The Husband Shoppe on this board. Im glad your having a good experience with them. Did they have a large selection of fabrics and lace or do you need to supply your own? I will definately add them to my list if I dont find something this weekend.
