I haven't had mine yet (obviously) but I don't want mine the week before. I think 2, 3 or even 4 weeks before is perfect.

ETA: I'd also consider your close friends' availability as well.

I had mine about 3 weeks before. I also went away so another reason why i had to do that. Would've done a month before but dh also went to vegas and he booked his first and did a month before, so didnt want to be there the same time.
