B-Pic Help on Timing

B-Pic Help on Timing

So I was able to get an appointment with Fedali for B-pics!! I'm super excited especially after I saw Danielle's pictures. My only problem is the appointment is at 11am on a Sunday. How can I do hair and makeup before then and also get there in time (traveling from Huntington Station)? Any suggestions?

Btw, I can't do makeup or hair myself, I'm completely inept at both.

Re: B-Pic Help on Timing

i have the exact same time and day myself for my b-pics--always leaving from huntington!

on the wknds there is a 930 train i believe from huntington to penn station--hop outside and grab a cab to their place. its MUCH easier than doing the subway.

as for hair and make up---i high suggest that you ask a GF to come over early and help you with the hair and make up. that is what i am doing. my GFs are coming by super early and helping me do the hair/MU and then are actually going to go with me into the city. i went with my friend when she did her bpics with Fedali....and she did her own hair/mu and it looked great--so she will be doing mine!

Unfortunately I don't have any friends that live close by that are handy with hair and makeup. Any other ideas? Unless I can borrow your friends....

well how do you want to do your hair? maybe you can get your hair done the nite before and then try and just keep it as best as possible so that you just have to refresh it a little bit that morning

as for the make up---i would consider going to one of those make up counters like MAC in the department stores or in ulta, sephora, etc. and ask them to give you a little make over and show you some tricks to do the make up....and then just practice, practice practice.

maybe you could make a deal for one of the make up counter girls to come by your house really early that morning or you go to theirs to do your make up?

I thought about that, but I'm really awful at doing my own makeup and hair. Everytime I try to put eye shadow on, one side is always heavier than the other - which makes me look like I rubbed one eye and not the other... As for hair, I haven't tried anything since I gave myself a big burn mark from a hair roller...

trust me---i know what you mean! i was the same way as you. but i've discovered that sometimes its all about practice and how you put the make up on. after being shown a few times by make up artists -- i've gotten better. don't be afraid to have a few nites where you play with colors and stuff! the key is 'less is more' when applying--and blending with the right brushes.

as for hair---yes i have MANY MANY burns on my hands from using a hair curler. have you tried hot rollers? they are not as bad as using a hot curling iron--you can straighten your hair and then make nice sexy waves with the rollers.

Haha, I didn't know there were hot rollers, I'll check into that (and look like those 1940 ladies in the hair salons ) I might just leave my hair and try to find someone to do my makeup. Its too bad b/c I was so excited about the pictures and thought it would be fun to look different for a day, instead of boring ole me...

well i see by your trial pics---is your hair normally bone straight? if so i'd definitely try and do some big sexy curls with hot rollers! they can be a pain at first---but if you get the hang of it--it can add a little body and bounce.

and honestly---if you can't do the hair--straight hair looks really sexy in these pics too! i'm sure no matter what your guy will be loving it.

Haha, exactly - bone straight!! Which is why I loove getting curls done. It might just have to be straight hair for the pics, unless I find someone that's open that early. Thanks!!

if you wanted, you could even go to fedali with the curlers in and do some shots of you putting make up on in a mirror with the curlers still in your hair. might be a fun shot!
