Baby Gift Suggestions

Hello all!

So now all of my firends are starting to have babies - how exciting!!!!

I have a question though - what are good gifts to get for people who are not learning the gender of the baby? I know onesies are always useful, but I'm also looking for other good suggestions.

Best to you all

Re: Baby Gift Suggestions

I have had a lot of luck with getting bath stuff for a baby that the gender is not known....

(a lot of times they register for bathtubs, etc) But what I do is get the bathtub, fill it with baby towels, baby washcloths, a few bath toys (rubber duckie, waterproof book), baby bath---soothing, vapr, sleepytime, baby lotion, baby safety cotton swabs, baby shampoo, sometimes a thermometer for the tub to make sure its not too hot...

I then wrap it up in cellophane and present it.

ITs Always a HIt!

First I'd make sure they didn't have a registry.

If they don't, some ideas are:
Diaper champ or diaper bag w/diapers
Bobby pillow
Baby monitor
Activity mat

What to avoid:
Blankets and stuffed animals -- I've gotten soooo many already and I haven't even had my shower. hehe.

I always get for baby showers the baby time capsule..Everyone loves that when I get it..Something people don't think to get..It holds all memories from when the baby is first born to it's first year.I loved mine..

Re: Baby Gift Suggestions

I always give pampers and wipes. the way I figure it is that the baby has to put on a diaper before all those outfits can go on. So I get a case of 1-2 size pampers( that is about 204) and I get the big set of wipes sometimes it comes with 640 or 800.
