NO IM NOT PREGNANT!. .. so im kinda nervous...im babysitting my cousins baby on sat. night. hes 2 months old and i need to observe an infant for at least 2 hours so although im helping them out by babysitting im helping myself at the same time... but the thing is never been alone with a baby this tiny before! any advice..ive been around him since he was born and feel very comfy other wise i wouldnt have volunteered. but just wondering from the moms if theres anything specific i should know!

one thing i learned with my niece and nephew is that sometimes they cry because they dont want to be held they just wnat to be kleft alone.. Never thought a baby would want to be left alone

I'm not a mommy but I worked as the head of an Infant Room at an early learning center for 4 years. Two months is pretty easy. As long as it's not a fussy baby, he will probably just sleep and need to be fed and changed. They dont really require TOO much stimulation at that age.

i would ask if he was on any type of schedule yet, and by knowing that you may be able to understand what he would want at that time. mostly they just eat, poop, and sleep at that age, and they have they're moments of wanting to be cuddled and when they want to be left alone. another reason the baby might cry is if he's hot or cold. good luck!

thanks girls i really appriciate it! i should really know what to do at this point in the game (with my schooling) but its totally differnt when its REAL and not a doll!! should be FUN!

Dont know if hes a baby like my daughter was at that age... But at 2 months, they really just like to sleep... He should be really easy... Lots of attention and comfort... my daughter was very colicky so I had a VERY hard time with her... But just lots of love... I miss that babyness.. I cant wait to have another one!!! They grow too fast! Good luck.. Youll do just fine!!! its when they walk, talk, or crawl that they are difficult!
