When you first started feeling the baby kick - did it feel kind of like a twitch ??
When did you first feel the baby kick? and when did you REALLY feel the baby kick?
(also when did others first feel it from the outside)

Re: Baby kicking question
The first time I knew it was the baby moving was about three months ago. I was sitting in the recliner with my feet up watching ER and all of a sudden I felt this weird sensation in my belly. I put my hand on my stomach and I felt this little bump push out. It totally freaked me out (in a good way!) I felt the movement a few more times and then I called for my hubby but by the time he got to the chair the baby stopped pushing out.
Before that I felt what I can only describe as gas bubbles - VERY slight rumbles in my stomach. Kinda like when you drink a soda and you get gas bubbles in your stomach. I couldn't really tell if it was the baby or just gas.

Re: Baby kicking question
Around 16 weeks I started feeling that bubbly feeling. About a weekor so later I started feeling actual little kicks! I'd say by 18.5-19 weeks people could feel the kicks from the outside. So much fun! It is my favorite part of the day when she starts kicking!!

Re: Baby kicking question
I first started to feel the baby kick about 20-21 weeks. From that point on it just got stronger and stronger. Before I knew it, I thought I had a future soccer player!
Your baby will be REALLY letting you know he's there before you know it!

Re: Baby kicking question
I've been feeling what feels like a tennis ball rolling around since about 16weeks. At first it was just at night when I was in bed, now this week (18) it's MUCH more frequent and more like kicks. It's the most amazing feeling in the world! I don't think you can feel it from the outside until about 25 weeks, right?

Re: Baby kicking question
I felt the twitches and bubbly feelings at about 16 weeks......was never really sure it was the baby. Within the past few weeks it's gotten to be more and more and now at 22 weeks I can see and feel him from the outside
At about 15 1/2 weeks, I started feeling twitchy--that's exactly it! I am 21+ weeks now too and it's definitely a strong feeling that I can see and feel--both kicking and rolling. My DH was able to feel it for the first time just shy of 20 weeks.
That's EXACTLY how it feels with me! At first it felt like little gas bubbles... then, it felt like a little moth was trapped in my belly. NOW, it feels like there's a goldfish swimming around in there... I feel it all the time, but can't feel it on the outside yet, and I'm somewhere between 19 and 20 weeks.

It felt like popcorn popping to me.
It was about 20 weeks that I started to feel my little one.

Re: Baby kicking question
I first felt bubbles at around 14 weeks -- verrrry early. Then yes, it felt like twitches or muscle spasms. And my first definite kicks were at around 18 weeks.
DH was FINALLY able to feel the kicks at 24 weeks.
