Baby Monitors in Apartments

For the Moms that live in an apartments. Which monitor do you use & are you happy w/ it? I have the Fisher Price sound & lights(the one w/ the extra reciever) I get so much static & interference. They say to get opposite of what your phone is ( if you have a 500mtz phone get a 2.4g monitor) But I still have problems. please share wich one you have.
Thanks

How big is your apt? We have a 2 BR, and we don't need a monitor at all. I am a light sleeper, or she's just close enough and I hear Lyla in the middle of the night. I have a FP monitor that someone gave me, and use it when we travel or stay at someone's house.

We are in a 3 bedroom. The bedrooms are close but I have a long hallway from the front to the back where the bedrooms are. He's still in my room when he sleeps but if I'm in the front of the apt. I don't think I'll hear him from his room. When he's ready for his own room I'm not sure I'll trust myself to hear him. He's 3 weeks old & I just have that fear he'll stop breathing. Does that ever go away??

We have the same monitor as you and live in an apartment. We've never been able to use it. I tried to return it but FH had thrown some of the packaging away. But in the last 15 mos. I could only think of a couple of occasions where I wish that it worked.
