baby movement

So the other day at work, a woman had said to me...have you felt the baby move yet?? and I said well Im only 13 weeks so I think it might still be early... truthfully I wouldnt really know what I was feeling though...

She replied... You probably feel the baby move all the time, and just dont know it...The best way I could describe it is: like a little ant crawling across your tummy for a split second...and you'll have an itch...

Well a few times I have felt this tingly... but I didnt think anything of it... just maybe the way I was sitting or something...

WHat do you guys think??? Does this lady know what shes talking about???

My DR said at my last apt. I should feel the baby soon... but what am I supposed to be feeling?

OK, I dont know about the 'having an itch part' but to me it felt like bubbles. I didnt feel Emma till I was 18 weeks but I felt Jeremy at 15 weeks only because I knew what I was feeling. It may even be about 20 weeks before you REALLY feel him/her. Dont stress over it. You will know when you feel it.

I actually started feeling the bubbles at 14 wks. I agree with kptoys about the itch part though - weird. But definitely I felt little tinglies at about 14 weeks. So yes, it could very well be the baby!

These little tingles do they like kinda tickle??

Cuz thats all I ever feel and it just started like this week and its very rare.... I thought it might have been the way I was sitting or something...like a nerve...

but since this lady said this now Im wondering....

its like the baby bumps into your uterus so it could very well be the baby...

Yeah they sort of tickle I guess... it ***** that you can't know for sure at this point. That's what happened to me. But you'll see... soon those tickles will give way to bubbles, then swishes and rolls, then thumps and wiggles, and eventually, you'll get the unmistakeable good solid kick and you'll say... okay, yeah...it was the baby all along!

I don't think that I itched either...but it felt as if a butterfly was trapped in your stomach...that's how I can describe it.

Re: baby movement

I started feeling movement at 15 1/2 weeks. I didn't get the bubbles sensation; to me it felt like a twitching, then someone described it as a goldfish bumping against a plastic bag and I thought, yeah that's perfect. So that's my experience.

Oh yeah, and this morning (20 wks), DH felt the baby for the first time!!
