Baby movements: can you tell...

Baby movements: can you tell...

Can you tell what position your baby is in when you feel him/her moving? My SIL says she can tell when his head is down or his feet are on one side, etc. I can't... I just feel lots wiggles and squirming. I can't tell a knee from a foot or an elbow from a fist. I can tell when it's hiccups, but that's about it.

Sometimes one part of my belly gets really hard and I can tell there's something there but I don't know what it is. Sometimes I press on my belly gently to see if I get a reaction (and DH yells at me of course - STOP you're gonna hurt the baby!!) but I can't tell anything.

Will I be able to tell as he gets bigger? Do you get reactions from pressing on your belly? I'm 26 wks now....

Hi,

I can't tell either. Although the other night I felt I think a kick and when I pressed down in the area, I felt something definitely hard! :)

I am thinking a foot!

It is funny, becuase my DH screams at me for pressing on my stomach, I am like give me a break! They worry too much! :)

I can tell now, only because my doctor said the baby is head down...
One side, under my ribs, I feel a hard round bulge.. which is the babys butt... just opposite to that the baby is always stretching pushing his/her feet out.
I feel the hiccups down the babys back below its butt...
