hi girls! my best friend is having her first baby, and i volunteered to do the favors for teh shower....i've never even BEEN to a baby shower! any good ideas?? something reasonably priced, becasue theres gonna be almost 60 people there... thanks!

Baby shower favors are tricky... I have so many baby boy & girls candles & I dont have any kids. A small picture frame is always useful.(go the the dollar store and see what you find) Just put an insert with the girls name and the day of the shower.

for my sisters shower I got Anne Geddes bookmarks on e-bay. I also got pencils engraved with her name & date....so they could use them to play the games. and I had candles with pictures of Anne Geddes babies on them.
You should try playing around on ebay if your on a budget. Just search for 'baby shower favor' and see what comes up to give you ideas.

For my first shower, my sister bought glowing candles... they were gorgeous. They also had ring pops and chocolates.
For my mini shower (mommy shower) with my second, they gave out cookies.
For my best friends shower we got cheap (dollar store) ice cream sundae glasses with ice cream scoops. Then we got those wrapped dill pickles to put in the ice cream cup. It was cute.
I have also seen wildflower seeds, candy, mini cakes, chocolates... and I have been to showers with NO favors!

Since there are so many people, you might consider something less expensive, like chocolate lollipops!

i second the idea of edible favors- there are many cute baby themed cookies out there & chocolates too! what group of women wouldn't appreciate chocolate?

for my sister's shower we got these little baby booties from the dollar store and filled with with pink, yellow and blue jordan almonds. . . cute and easy!
for something inexpensive. . .i thought this was so cute at FH's cousin's baby shower - they decorated a little diaper and when you opened it up there was a 'thank you' letter from the baby with a picture of the sonogram - like 'thanks for helping my mommy celebrate etc' it was a poem though but i dont remember how it goes!

they got cheap bottles..maybe a dollar store and filled it them up w jelly beans
also made choc candies in baby shapes
she made really cute boo boo bunnies
also she made a program...it came out awesome! it was all layed out like my preg. was a play...if u wanna do that i can get the template or sample whatever she has...and email u it!

Sorry I can't be with you to join in mommy's shower, But I'm very busy you see I'm growing more each hour. AC Moore has tons of molds!!! they have just the candy bite size style or lollipops!
also another cute 1 was....baby pacifires that are candy. they look like lil smarties. AC moore sells them as well. We put those in the round small tins with a sticker with my sisters name and shower date!

OOH!! i think i found a way to combine this AND the bottle thing... come up with candy that goes with each item to put in the bottle... EX: HEART flowing ( heart shaped candy) arms BURSTING ( starBURST) hugs and kisses ( hersheys hugs and kiss)
what do ya think?? i just can't think of one for patience or sunshine smiles..... LOL i guess i could always take those out of the poem...

For my sisters I did A baby Bottle Candle (all diff colors) and a little ceramic Carriage that had candy in it. I put them both in gift bags with Tissue paper.
At my friend's shower they gave out boo boo bunnies...very cute. They are little towels rolled up to look like a bunny. When you need to put ice on something, you use that (for a boo boo). Cute
