baby shower ideas

Help!!!
I am participating in the planning of a baby shower for my best friend...i want to do something special for her
does anyone have any ideas ...like baby shower poems ...games...favors...
i also have to decorate the hall ...but all the supplies are so expensive ..any places where i can get them cheaper???

do u know if shes having a boy or girl?

Sorry i cant be with you today to share in mommy;s shower, but you see i'm very busy 'cause i'm growing more each hour.

she's having a boy...and i really liked that poem

i was looking for one that is kinda like the one at bridal showers ...when they use the different products as part of the poem ( like detergent ...etc)

At my first shower the guests were all invited to bring a gift plus their favorite childhood book to help build a library and love of reading for my baby.. It was a lot of fun to look through those books! We still have them too. I don't have the poem that they included in the invite, but it was cute too.

At my 2nd shower, everyone brought a small gift for baby (since I still had a ton of stuff from the 1st) and also chipped in to get me a day at a Spa. THAT was awesome. Everyone is always so involved with the baby - they sometimes forget that MOMMY NEEDS LOVE TOO!

i recently went to a baby shower - and they did the cutest 'game'. when you walked in - every one got a pin w/ a flet diaper on it - and you had to open the diaper and if it had 'poopie' in it you won a prize!!

i thought it was the cutest thing!
