Anyone using babys breath in their centerpieces or as bouquets? I have seen pictures of it, and in bulk I think it is SO pretty (and from what I hear cery affordable). Such a great way to save $$. I'm thinking of doing centerpieces similar to below. Any thoughts??
I bought all my flowers for my engagement party the day before, and it was like 3 bustles of baby's breath. It smells terrible. It took us about 2 weeks to get the smell out. There's something similar, I believe called Queen Anne's lace that smells better and is still not too expensive. Maybe try that? Or ask a professional florist for other options. But the last thing you want at your wedding is a horrible aroma percolating throughout your reception

I am not doing it for centerpieces but for the ceremony. I am doing something similar to this
I'm doing something similar but instead I will have two large arrangements by the altar instead of down the aisle. I also want my bouquets to have some baby's breath in it...similar to this picture.
I saw something on Pinterest with baby's breath in vases filled with water. I thought it was realy pretty and unique. If you are good at DIY i think you could probably do this but buying the vases might add up if you have a lot of tables. Maybe the water would hide the scent?

They'll be in my centerpieces! I'm doing a large case with willow branches, 3 sunflowers around the rim of the vase and the babys breath will fill in the empty space between the sunflowers.

Thank you ladies!! And I did not know they smelled!! I will have to maybe look into another option or maybe use it as a filler to avoid a smelly reception =)

Babys Breath Centerpieces
I met with a florist who said that it does smell, but there is a variety that doesn't...probably the Queen Anne that was mentioned. When I met with Dana from stylish events she was able to give me all tall centerpieces (half tree branches and half orchids and hydrangeas) for the same price as tall baby's breath so I kind of scrapped the idea- I am getting my dream centerpieces for the same price as my 'affordable' option. Also, be careful since one florist I met with quoted me $350 for EACH tall baby's breath centerpiece...clearly she didn't want to give me my cost effective option and jacked up the price to get me to fit HER vision.....
