Hi...So it looks like I need to find a babysitter to come to the hotel and watch about 5 children ranging from 2 to 10 years old.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how I start looking into this? My FMIL doesn't really know anyone and I live in the city so I was wondering if I ask hotel, RH or are their babysitting services etc.
Any advice or help is much appreciated.
PS...I wish I didn't have to deal with this!!

Re: Babysitter
I would honestly ask a friend / family member (teenager) to do so. I just wouldn't trust leaving my own children with a complete stranger, unless they were from a service, and even then would do extensive research and referrals.
Is there any younger members of the family or a friend's sibling that would be able to do so?

Re: Babysitter
That is a good point.....I just don't even know where to start. I can't think of anyone who is old enough.

Re: Babysitter
How about contacting a local day care center? I'm sure some of those girls would love to pick up some extra money

Re: Babysitter
I would contact the education department at local colleges like Molloy. I bet some of the elementary ed students would love to babysit.

Hi friend. Whose children is it? I would think it's up to that person to find the babysitter.

Re: Babysitter
I have a few cousins that are traveling from out of town. Sister says we have to at least give them options.

Re: Babysitter
How about getting 2 ladies here on LIW to help you out. At least with 2 girls the 5 children would be cared for properly. If the 2 yr old has to go to the bathroom etc the other babysitter can watch the other 4 kids.
Hey like Nancy said- I'd do it like i love kids and am majoring in education hahaha
But def try Tutor Time or Kiddie Academy they are both well known child care centers here on LI.
Good Luck. FM me if you cant find anything I'll see if my schedule is clear!!
