I think i want to hire a babysitter for the night of my wedding to hang out in the bridal suite and watch my nieces and nephews when they get sleepy later in the night. I was thinking of asking one of my students, but i have no idea what the going rate for babysitters is! can someone tell me how much I should offer her? I was thinking I would need her for about 4 hours! thanks

rates are between 10-15 dollars and hour

You also have to consider how many kids they will be watching. I used to babysit back in the day and I can remember I was asked to watch one person's children for the night for a birthday party and it ended up being 2 people's children and I did not get paid any more. If they are expected to watch many children take that into consideration.

Depending on the kids 10- 15 an hour would be nice. Ask other people to chip in if they have children being watched,.

It depends on how many kids....maybe 100-150 for the night?
