Okay - so i know - we're in the minority and inviting children to our wedding.....
for those of you who are inviting children - are you going to hire a babysitter to watch the younger ones and spend the night at the kids table?
i'm considering it but i'm not even sure where to start with finding a RELIABLE babysitter in Long Island....

Re: BABYSITTING
the kids are staying with their parents at their tables so i am not having a babysitter
my nephew has autism and he does not handle new situations well, he is bringing my BIL's best friend with him as a guest LOL ( my nephew is 6 ) and when he gets antsy she is going to leave with him. . . he probably wont make it to the reception though LOL
a few of the other kids are leaving after the CH ( their parents' choice not mine )

Re: BABYSITTING
i'll be your babysitter if you need me to.
we are not hiring a babysitter. there will be enough supervision... plus... they aren't really that young so they can fend for themselves.
we are only inviting a total of 6 kids under 14 one of which will be 13 and is two of the other guests older sister. she can babysit lol

Re: BABYSITTING
This was something I thought of before FH & I were engaged just from going to other weddings. It wasn't until someone mentioned to me that they wouldn't leave their kids with a stranger even if they're in the same room. It makes sense to me because you don't want just anyone to watch them. Granted you would probably know the sitter really well, but the parents wouldn't. You know?

Re: BABYSITTING
we are having a children's corner.
we dont have many kids and they all know each other so I'm not too worried about it. we have a babysitter to watch them and numerous activity books, games and possibly a couple portable DVD players for them too.

Re: BABYSITTING
We will be having kids and no sitter. Sitters are hard unless the kids know the person. I am sitting the kids with their parents.
