my FBIL and SIL want to bring their baby to our wedding (both are in wedding party). They are planning on keeping her in a tiny room tat our hall the entire day with a babysitter (mind you, no tv, radio, microwave, food, etc). I think this is outrageous especially since they live less than 5 min from the hall..
What do you girls make of this? I am afraid they are going to spend the whole time showing everyone the baby..and proably wont have a good time because they will constantly check on her...how can i convince them this is a bad idea with out being rude or bridezilla-ish.. The poor babysitter...nearly 12 hours in a tiny room with no tv!! LOL

Re: babysitting questions..HELP!!
say...
'i'd really like you guys to actively be involved in the reception and not have to worry about child'sname...
... i'd like to offer to hire a babysitter for a-z amount of time.'
if they're smart... they will agree to get a sitter and NOT accept your offer to pay but.. i think you should offer.

Re: babysitting questions..HELP!!
You can encourage them to leave her at their home but if they insist on having her babysat in the little room, just tell them to make sure they have enough to entertain her with. Maybe leave some snacks and drinks for the sitter. Leave a port dvd with them if you have one. Do you think they are trying to have you invite her in to the main wedding room? I have an issue like this with my SIL... How old is their baby?

I also wanted to add that at least they will be there. My BM came to our wedding but her husband stayed at a hotel with her baby. They didnt want to hire a sitter etc. I was so sad that her husband wasn't ther but what could I do? At lesat they will both be present at the wedding.

Re: babysitting questions..HELP!!
I think that if you don't want to have the kid there, then tell them you would rather no kids. We had a lot of people ask us about kids and leaving them in the bridal suite with a babysitter and so on. We just told them that we were having no kids and that was it.
