Bach/ Bridal shower

Who is usually invited to the Bachelerette party?

And who is usually invited to the Bridal/ Wedding shower?

Re: Bach/ Bridal shower

For my bach party, I sent a list of emails to my MOH of all of my friends and family who were invited to the wedding who I thought might be interested. I included some of the wives/GFs of the groom as well since we all hang out. I'm not sure who is coming though! I didn't invite pregnant women, however. We are doing a wine tour and I know that I would be pissed if I was pregnant sitting amongst all boozed up girls!!

For my bridal shower, we invited most of the women. If I was ever invited to another bride's BS then I invited her to mine. I included wives or GFs of close friends of my FH. I sent out 150 invitations to the wedding and almost 100 to the shower.

I haven't figured out my bachelorette party yet, but for the shower I invited my bp, moms, grandmas, immeadiate family (aunts on both sides, cousins, and second cousins) and a few close friends of mine, MIL, and my mom. I think it came out to like 60 invites out of the 250 I'm inviting to my wedding. Most shower I've been to are usually around 50 people if that helps but I don't think there's any 'right' way to do it.

Bachelorette Party - I only invited the closest girls in my life. I invited close cousins, bridal party (of course), and my dearest, closest friends

Bridal Shower - All that were invited to my Bach Party AND people who watched me grow up. My parents friends, our parents cousins, my cousins, and my friends. You don't have to invite all of the women invited to the wedding, that's a little extreme, unless you are close to everyone women invited. Remember it's YOUR shower!

Bach party- I invited my close girlfriends.

Bridal Party- gave a list of my girlfriends and drew and line between who I really want there and who I don't care if they come or not but felt should be invited.

For the bridal showe pretty much all the women that are also invited to the wedding.

For the bach only the younger crowd that likes to party. I have like maybe 10 girls coming.

Re: Bach/ Bridal shower

OK so my mom is stressed about how much it will cost to have a wedding shower for all the women in our lives (both mine and FH's sides). And she is positive that the MOH can not afford to throw it for everyone. She is now thinking maybe we should separate it.
Like MOH will throw it for young women (maybe right before the bach party), my mom will throw it for women on our side (family) and FMIL will throw one for her side of friends and fam. Which I think is fine. But I don't know if she will be bringing this up to anyone.
Is this kind of party thing normal? Its not like we have a big family but she doesn't want to pay for another big party since she is paying for the wedding. Which I totally understand but what am I really supposed to do about it? I told her I don't need one but why in the world am i creating a registry then?

I invited all the women that are invited to the wedding, but not guests that I don't know, for example I didn't invite FH's co-workers wives, but I did invite his female co-workers. I think my list was around 44, but a LOT of them aren't coming. I think it will be around half or less!
For the bach party, I think it will be my BP and a couple other friends. I'm still deliberating about it!

Why can't they all chip in for one? Make a list of all the people you REALLY want there, then make a longer list of all the ones that SHOULD be invited, like a B list. I like having one shower, it makes it so families and friends can meet before the wedding or RD.
