bachelor / bachelorette party tomorrow!

My WONDERFUL BM Shari planned an awesome Jack & Jill Bach party for me and my FH. Tomorrow, we are take a stretch Hummer out East to go wine tasting!

After that, FH and I are throwing a little BBQ for everyone at my parents' house. (It's bigger than our place and my very cool parents will be there)

With all the stress lately (My father is having open heart surgery Tuesday, less than 4 weeks before my wedding -- and other stuff that's not even nearly as important as my dad!), I think it will be some much needed fun! Also, since my dad's surgery isn't until Tuesday, he'll be able to be at the BBQ with us. I know he's excited about that - he loves being involved in this stuff.

I even bought a VS Bachelorette tank for the big day (b/c I'm a big dork!) I got the Sexy Little Bride Hoodie, but I don't think I'll wear that, too... We shall see!

Anyway, I'll have to remember a camera so we can take some pictures!

Have FUN, Kara!! This is a special time and you won't be disrespecting your Dad at all if you schedule a little time to have FUN and enjoy this special (SHORT) time you're engaged.

Oh my dad is SO EXCITED. He'll be at the BBQ and at the house for breakfast before we leave. He's a SUPER fun-loving guy.

His biggest concern when he heard of the surgery was 'I'll be able to dance all night at my daughter's wedding, right?'

He's all about the fun! It will be a great stress relief! I told my parents we'd move the BBQ / after-party somewhere else (back before we knew the date of the surgery). They both insisted that we didn't move it. They're excited for it, too. They're so cool.

That's SO awesome, Kara!! You better bring about 100 hankies for your father/daughter dance, because I am guessing there won't be a 'dry eye' in the house!!
