bachelor party HELL...vent

so our bachelor & bachelorette parties are next friday... and fh's bachelor party has been a disaster to plan because fbil (who is the best man) is very selfish. his plan is to take fh to atlantic city for the night and bring him home saturday afternoon... just the two of them, none of the groomsmen... like, are you kidding me??

i told this to fh's cousin who is a gm, because on thanksgiving he asked me if i knew what was going on with the bachelor party (fbil didnt even bother to come on thanksgiving..) and i told him the plans of just fh & fbil going to atlantic city (which might i add, fh is NOT happy about..he wants a GROUP of people) and his cousin is really hurt and angry..

so this morning i get a text from his cousin that he planned a bachelor party next friday and i told him he cant do that, he needs to talk to fbil... so he texts him to ask whats going on with the bachelor party, and fbil says 'i am taking dom to ac' and his cousin goes 'what about the rest of us?' and he goes 'well those who are 21 can tag along if they want' (his cousin is 18..the only one who isn't 21) and he didn't even know what to write back.

fh is angry that i even told his cousin about this but what was i supposed to do?? the kid was asking me what was going on! and i just cannot believe fbil would be so selfish to take fh by himself to ac... its a bachelor PARTY, not a trip for just the two of them... UGHHHH!!!!

i am dreading the storm that is coming our way because world war 3 is gonna break out when fmil hears about this... fh is gonna confront fbil next friday about it when he comes to the door to get him. he's gonna say 'where are the rest of the guys?' and when fbil says he didn't invite them, fh is gonna say 'you f*cked up..im not going' and fmil is gonna defend fbil like there's noooo tomorrow....

why doesnt fh ask his bro about the bach party tonight.. and then let him know that he doesnt like that no1 else is going.. that way u dont spring it up on fbil last min, just like fbil was trying to do to your fh.

im a fan of the direct approach. less conflict

i've tried explaining that to my fh but he for some reason wants to wait and see what fbil does.. to see if he's really gonna go through with just the 2 of them going to ac..

eta: fh isnt even supposed to know about this. its supposed to be a surprise and for some reason, fbil thinks he will love it, even think his cousin and i have both told him that he wont. like i said, he's just selfish and has always wanted to go on a 'brother trip.'

I AGREE and then this way FBIL can fix it in time to make it that the GMs can come.

if he waits til last minute, then your fh is screwing it up for the rest of the BP. he knew ahead of time and didnt do anythign to change it..so its going to fall on his shoulders..

please make him tell his brother tonight. its not fair to the other guys.

well if your fbil wants a 'brother trip' (which i kinda understand) why dont they do that in ADDITION to a bachelor party? what is the real reason why he is doing this?

this is just how he is, to be honest... fbil has always been one to do this HIS way. he likes the attention. he's selfish and doesn't really care about what anybody else wants except himself... he hasn't contacted the other gm about this trip because he's hoping that it will be just him & fh.

I think you should tell FH that he will regret it if he leaves it up until the last minute. Then, he won't go on his bach party w/ his brother AND he won't go w/ his GM.

They should just go out in NYC, then the cousin would be able to hang too!
