Bachelor party question-sort of long

So FH came home form bach. party in AC today and me, him, his brother (and BM) and his wife (FH SIL and one of my BM) were sitting around and catching up on the night. FH choose to gamble all night, literally for 12 hours straight, and decided not to go to a strip club with some of the the other guys b/c he knew i didnt like it. So I made a comment that ti was rude of the other guys to go to a strip club rather then choose to hang out with my FH, since he didnt want to go and its his night. and my FSIL said it was rude of my FH to not go with the other guys b/c its tradition to go to a strip club! now i love my FSIL and she has been the BIGGEST help with the wedding but this is one subject we dont agree on, so i made the point that a lot of guys dont go and that they may go instead camping, fishing, play poker, etc.plus the guys didnt have to go, from the beginning this is all they wanted to do. FH ended up playing poker and blackjack the whole night b/c, only his BM and one of his friends choose not to go either, if the other guys were around maybe they could have gone to bar or walked to a differnt hotel to see what was going on. Plus FH really didnt care one way or the other, he was happy playing poker, I just felt like my FSIL and FBIL were making it like i ruined FH party since i ddint want him going, did i do anyhting wrong? FH choose not to go out of respect for me, which really proves a lot to me. He said he didnt care that he didnt go to the strip club, so why were his family giving me a hard time.

I say screw them, as long as you and your FH are fine with it then it does not matter what any one else thinks about it. People will always try to make you feel bad about one thing or another.

PS: I think your FH respecting your feelings really shows how much he loves you and his level of commitment. You should be happy and forget what everyone else has to say, they are probably just jeaslous cause there man couldn't pass up going to a strip club

YOU did not ruin anything. THEY ruined his party because THEY wanted to go to a strip club.

If someone is selfish it's not your FH, it's them. The way I see it....I guess the strippers were more important to them that do what your FH wanted to do for his bach. party.

Definitely SCREW THEM. I applaud your FH. That was really sweet of him. It sounds like the guys all did their own thing, which didnt bother your FH, so everyone should shut up and get ready for the wedding!

I told my fiance I will not marry him if he goes to a strip club for his BP. And I am dead serious. I know he wouldn't appreciate me going to a strip club either and besides I feel, if he really needs one last hoorah before getting married he probably doesn't need to be married.

(background though: My FH told his BM before I even mentioned it, no strip club. He wants to go to a race at Englishtown. He hates strip clubs.)

I think FH family might think you are trying to restrain him from doing things he wants to do. But, it's really a respect issue. Besides, you said he didn't care about going one way or another. It's really none of their business.

I bet her husband probably went to a strip club for his bach. party and she's still bitter about it.

Yay for you 2!!! You did NOTHING wrong at all. He seems like a very nice guy and that is sweet of him to respect you. Strip clubs are completely overrated and you are right, most guys choose not to include that, I know my FH doesn't want to do anything like that. We're lucky, they are jealous. Don't sweat it.
