Anthony was so looking forward to going out with the guys for dinner. He didnt want strippers or anything nutty. I even overheard him a few times while he was outside on the phone saying JUST DINNER. He then found out they had booked a coach bus to take them out to the city and they have some type of 'reservations' at 10:30
Anthony was excited that my brother and my cousins were going because they are 'normal' guys. His brothers are 'crazy' Just trust me on that one. Anyway, Anthony even said this morning, thank god your brother and cousins are coming.
I just got a call from my brother and cousins backing out. Their wives wont let them go/its too late.
Now all the guys he wanted to go are backing out and hes going to be stuck with some wild wild crazy guys. He said he feels his brother is planning this bachelor party for himself and doing what he wants, instead of what Anthony wants.
I just feel kinda bad for him - thats all. He also told me he doesnt want to go but he doesnt want to hurt his brothers feelings.
This is happening to my FH - his brothers are playing a trip to domincan republic - my FH is afraid to fly and he knows two of the people an the invited list who just happened to be his brother and cousin - none of his friends are goign because they can't fly out of the country for a BParty - he is so angry and is refusing to go saying this is not about him it is about his brother's friends getting some arse in DR -

Re: Bachelor Party tonight
could you call your brother's and cousin's wives to talk to them...maybe if they heard from you they would feel better about it.....also maybe invite the wives over to you house tonight for some drinks....I always find that if the people not invited have something else to do then they dont really care what their spouse is doing.

Re: Bachelor Party tonight
Similar thing happening with me and the girls I told the girls 'couples only' and they keep insisting 'girls night out only' I can't believe this crap, my mom even heard one of the girls at the bridal shower say she was going to get me a stripper.....YUK!
The girls are so persistant, married for like 7 years and it is for them, not me....so I told them with only 4 weeks left until the wedding there will be NO FREE NIGHTS for me.
Can you beleive these people, its my day and they want it their way!
What's wrong with people?

Re: Bachelor Party tonight
Sounds like this BP is for the brothers and not for the Groom. Unfortunately, this is very typical. They always seem to think that this is what the groom wants, but is just not saying it. It's their excuse to have strippers and go wild. I give your DH (yah, now) a lot of credit for trying to stick to what he wants to do. You, on the other hand, are being very supportive and I'm sure that's making him want to stay home with you rather than go with them.

Well the girls are coming over our house anyway. They are just rediculously possesive and controlling.
Anyway, I told him and Anthony said he does not want to go. He had his last test for the bone marrow today and is feeling sick, so I told him to use that as an excuse.
Well see. I dont want his brothers to be hurt but they didnt have Anthony in mind when they planned this. I think they were really thinking of themselves.
I still dont get it. How are the wives 'not letting' them go to your husband's bachelor party????
And the men listen??
Somethings just not right....

Oh man.......what a mess.
Well, let us know how it goes.....if your hubbie ended up going or not......hopefully, in the end......he'll be having a great time.
And the bossy, hormonal women......jeez......I hope I never get like that.......
Guess they went to a really great whipping class, huh?

Re: Bachelor Party tonight
That Stinks!
My FH is the same way... opted for dinner and then drinks at a bar, instead of the whole 'crazy, stripper' etc.. night..
That stinks that they didnt' take your DH's wishes into account.. but i'm sure he will have a good time for his 'last night out'

Well, I asked one of the guys (who my brother said he already asked and said no) and he said he waws never asked and would LOVE to go! So I picked him up in Seaford, he had just flown in from the keys and took him to catch the limo bus. They both came in at 5 am this morning and had a great night. There were strippers and everything. He said he had a good time but wished he was home, but now he is, snoring in bed and our rehearsal is in less than 2 hours.
Anyway, it all worked out o.k.
aww thats great!! glad to hear that it all worked out for him and he had a good tme.
