bachelor/bachelorette parties

Random question:
Has anyone ever heard of parents and future in laws coming to bachelor/bachelorette parties? My fam was talking about this last night, and I never heard of it!

Thanks for the input :)

I have heard of parents/in-laws coming for dinner but then they usually go home after. I don't know how comfortable I would feel with my parents and future in-laws seeing me drunk and acting stupid lol

My cousin had a very 'PG-rated' bachelorette party and my mom was there and her grandmother and a lot of older woman. But thats what she wanted. So I guess it can be done.

My mom thinks she's coming to the bachelorette party, but she is wrong.

I know some girls are really close with their mothers and they can do that, but I'm not. In my moms head she thinks she is 20 years younger than she is and she's 'one of the girls' but I'd rather not have a party then have her with me. My MOH who has been in my life for over 20 years was like OMG why does she think its ok for her to come! We don't even know what we're doing yet!!!

I would not have my mom there. She would just have a sourpuss face the whole time.

My mom could totally come if she wanted. I don't think she would want to though because I think it is more of a friend/sister bonding event and she recognizes that! My mom is really young, though, so we have always had more of a friend-type relationship.

My MIL is another story! She is older than my mom by a bit and I don't think I would want her to see anything that might lower her respect for me! She is a mom-mom, not a friend-mom.

I would love to have my mom come to my bachelorette party but I think she'll probably say 'oh that's for you and the bridesmaids.' Maybe I'll be able to talk her into it. I really don't want anything crazy for mine...just dinner and cocktails, hopefully.

FH doesn't even want a bachelor party, but I'm sure his brother will throw him something.

My dad said that he had two bachelor parties...one where my grandpa and other family members came (I think it was a dinner and prob a bar after) and one where they didn't.

I've never heard of it. Then again, I think it depends on what you're doing. We went to a strip club...I know my mom and MIL wouldn't want to go there!

My friend invited his father and father in law to his bach and I was like what are you nuts?!?! I guess it depends on the family dynamic.

Not for me though!!! NOOOOOOOOOO thank you!!!
