bachelor/bachelorette planning...anything set yet?

Original post by Espo22

I am staying out of it, well maybe bc i just came up with something i might do yesterday...BUT yesterday i was talking to FH's brother about it bc he mentioned it and i tried helping him with the list bc fh has a couple groups of friends so his brother needed to know exactly who but i knew even i was forgetting some, anyways when fh got out of the shower we just asked him and he just happened to talk to one of the GM who is helping to plan and they already picked a date, first week of april they're going to vegas...And i did forget ppl, his list last i saw was at 20-something

im curious if anyone has already booked things, if so did anyone get rates for airfare to vegas or elsewhere? and hotel rates?

i JUST spoke to FH and there were 8 guys, he didnt pay for any of it but he said he remembered it came out to $4000 and it was 4 nights so the mgm signature 2 bedroom suite was $1000 a night

did they like it? i know fh and his friends are doing vegas but i think they want the hard rock or the palm... maybe if the mgm is more reasonable i should tell him to check it out. i know they want a suite for sure

this was the MGM signature though its the newer part and a little different than mgm so make sure if you go to the site you look at the signature part or if you look for rates anywhere...yeah the suite was nice and they liked it, its a HUGE hotel though and some ppl dont like that part about it but if he doesnt mind then its fine

for fh's bachelor party he said he might stay at the palms but its further down on the strip so not sure why he wants to do that...alot of his friends want to stay at the WYNN so not sure what theyre gonna end up doing.

i havent been in a few years but i know the 'hot' hotels then were the palm and the hard rock and more recently the wynn. i think the hard rock is completely off the strip right - i said the same to fh and he was like who cares, not like we are touring vegas but whatever they want to do. I tend to do a lot more planning with travel stuff b/c he never travels so here and there i offer to help... but i guess i should deal with my own first.

i would love to go back to vegas one of these days, but not for my bach.

the palms is nice but yeah its off the strip. The wynn is supposed to be gorgeous, i think fh has stayed there before and one of my bm's did too and she loved it. If he doesnt care then yeah dont even worry about it, they can take cabs or whatever. Well fh has been to vegas about 5x and his friends well most of them who are going have also been numerous times so they have it all under control lol. If you have any questions i can ask my fh for you lol.

thanks. mine has been a few times but not in a looong time. supposedly his friends know where to go but i guess we'll see. i know the wynn is more $$ for some of the guys who are on a budget; otherwise i think he'd want to stay there or the palm.

yeah its definitely more money...FH even mentioned that they might not all stay at the same hotel which i guess is ok since theres so many of them...one group of his friends ONLY stay at the wynn lol so those guys might stay there but not sure where FH is staying. I mean depending on how many guys go to split the room it might not be insane but yeah you can definitely get it for less elsewhere...What about mandalay bay?

yeah.. i know that's cheaper but i think fh really wants to stay at one of the others... we've all stayed there before. is mandalay the one they redid a few years ago? or was that the mirage - and they have some crazy sunday night party or something.

i actually just decided two days ago that i want to go to PR. I wasn't going to go away but i changed my mind. so now I'm going to PR Mem day weekend (yes the weekend before my wedding, no, i really dont think i'll be stressing since i haven't stressed much at all so far )

we're still going to do a weekend at the borgata with just my sisters and my married friends who won't come to PR.

tix to PR for that weekend are about $359... not bad. If anyone has suggestions on where to stay, that would be great!! Thanks

the el san juan hotel and casino...cant go wrong. it has 4 restaurants, a acasino, huge bar/lobby/lounge are and a club. and its newly renovated!

We are starting at my house for girly cocktails, and taking a limo to the city for either dinner & the 80's prom OR dinner and dancing at S.O.B.'s.

looove the el san juan. stayed there several years ago. i'm just worried it's too pricey; i think it's cheaper to rent a house on the beach; my classmate did this and he showed me pics it looked amaazinng!!!

im goin 2 vegas in april with the girls- we are booking it next month, my MOH got prices, I can ask her for you if you want. i cant wait! ive never been there

what week in april are you going?

the 18th-21st..its the first weekend of spring break- i have to go around the school schedule bc i dont wanna take too many days off from work with the HM coming up. at least i'll have a week off to recover! i cant remember exactly the airfare but I dont think it was too bad considering its spring break and they jack up the prices

You don't have spring break until late april? Doesn't the semester usually end in May?
I thought spring breaks were in March...or am I wrong. Reason I ask is, we haven't planned our honeymoon yet but where going to wait until mid-April to go (instead of going immediately after our wedding) because we don't want to go during the height of Spring Break season with all the college kids....

there are some school who have it in mid april...i remember my friend used to hate having it in mid april bc everyone else had it earlier

yea im not sure when college spring break is...i teach middle school so i meant spring break for the lil kids...its always the worst time to fly bc of all the family vacations...
