Bachelorerrt party cost

Bachelorerrt party cost

My friends are planning a night out in Manhattan for about 10 of us. It's going to be about $200 per person. One of the guests complained that it was too much.

Should I have the plans changed? What is the average cost per person for a night out? Or how much is too much to expect people to pay? We are just having dinner at a tapas place and have a table reserved at a club later on. There is no limo or anything.

I want to be treated and have fun with my friemds but I don't want them to spend too much

Thanks!!!

I think that is a lot, IMO. I thought the bridal party handles this though, not the bride? FH and I are not getting involved in the planning.

Well my friends are planning it, not me. I only have two people in my bridal party and neither live in NY so they won't be there!

i dont think there is a right or wrong amount to spend....it definately varies.

a night out in the city isnt necessarily cheap...i wasn't even in the bridal party and i spent over $200 in the city for dinner (tapas place) and then drinks while barhopping in the city. we didnt have any deals at the bars or anything and this included a few random acitvities for the bride like tarrot card reading etc...we did have a limo that took us from dinner to 2 stops but it didnt include liquor just a ride. then we just walked around to the other places.

and for mine...we're going to miami for a 3 day weekend so the flight + the place is $350 each

just remember its your b party so do something you are happy with and will enjoy....it doesnt matter how much or how little is spent.

if u want to keep the costs down in nyc...see if there is an open bar deal u can get or at least get comped to get in and like 1 or 2 free drinks. there are tons of bars

I don't think 200 is a lot...but obviously, everyone has their own opinion. It really depends on what their financial situation is. If they are in their late 20's or older and have a decent job, 200 dollars is not a lot to ask for the most important women in your life.

We are going to Foxwoods for my FSIL's b-party. The hotel is going to cost 220 pp alone. So, with food, drinks, gambling, etc...it's going to be over 500 pp. Everyone seemed perfectly fine with it...but again, everyone is in their 30s (well, except me...one year shy of it, hehe) So although 500 is a lot, b/c we all have good jobs, we can afford it.

For my brother's b-party, the guys are all taking him to VEGAS...that trip is going to be at least 1k each since they are going for a few days.

Like I said, it's what they can afford. But if they all have good jobs, they should have NO PROBLEM footing a 200 dollar bill. JMO!

It depends on the indivduals financial status. Some people may think that is expensive however if she was told about this event a while back and wanted to go there could have been a possiblity that she could have saved. It might be a tight month for her.

I have no idea what my b-party cost. 4 of my girl firends and I drove up to Saratoga last weekend - we stayed at a friend's house, went to the lake, went to the track and then to dinner. That was probrobly about $100 per person due to the cost of gas and dinner.

Tomorrow night about 12 of us are going to dinner at Amici's and then down to Port Jeff for drinks. So probrobly about $50 pp for dinner and then whatever each person drinks later on - we'll each pay for our own.

Everything is relative to a person's financial situation.

Yea, I agree, depends on the person's financial status. These days i dont think 200 is alot, especially if it's dinner, drinks, transportation.

I spent $1300 on my friend's bach party in Vegas, spent $450 on another, spending a weekend in Greenport - I think bachelorette parties are expensive in general...

People shouldn't feel they HAVE To go - I say keep your plans, and those that can come can come. You and the friend can go to dinner alone or something.

it depends - i wouldnt want to spend $200 - to me that is a lot of money for one night out and i dont want anyone spending that much on me either - thats JMO - if i had wealthier family and friends maybe it wouldnt seem like so much but with all the other expenses of the wedding for bridesmaids i think its a lot

Nobody is treating me :( They have no money. We're doing AC on a budget and all chipping in about $125 to rent a townhouse/condo.

If people can't afford it chances are they won't go, or will go and do limited things with the group. I would see if you can do something a little less expensive.... I think my bachelorette party costs my girls around 200, but we had a limo.

$200 is a lot for a night out, but if you are reserving a table @ a club chances are you have to buy a bottle or 2 which is gonna run $200-$500 depending on what you get, & this is probably driving up the costs.

if you really want them all to attend i'd say let the table go & that will drive down the costs.....having or not having a table isnt gonna make your night any less fun.

Re: Bachelorerrt party cost

I think its hard to say because people have different financial situations. To give you a comparision, my bach party was in the city. We had dinner at a tapas bar, a limo for like 4 or 5 hours and went to a bunch of bars, and I think the girls spent around $175. But Im not 100% sure because the girls all chipped in for dinner and then some bought me drinks and themselves drinks.

my sister has been a BM in about 7 weddings and said they usually spend $275 max on a bach party and thats usually including a hotel room for the evening. But some of them were for more than one girl at a time. So I really think it just depends.

I went to a jack and jill bach party. We took a limo out east and went wine tasting. It was $75 a person and then we had to pay our own tasting fees.

If i were you I wouldnt cancel if it is something you really want to do and are excited about.

ETA: just realized my bach was more than $200 because I just saw snowcutie82's post above.

MIne was $300 pp to go out in the city including a hummer limo from LI and open bar all night with dinner. I don't think $200 is bad for a night out in the city at all
