Bachelorette ideas for 'older' brides.

Bachelorette ideas for 'older' brides.

Does anyone have any ideas for a really nice place to eat and then go dancing in NYC? We are all in our 30's and not into the Hunk-a-mania or Mangia-e-Bevi or Culture Club thing. Any ideas?

What about the Awesome 80's Prom? After the 'Prom' is over - you stay and dance in the ballroom!!

We had a lot of fun going last year with my MOH....and we were all in our 30's!

that's right. I've been to the prom. I forgot you get to stay at webster hall after. How was the crowd @ webster?

Try The village underground for dancing. It's a pretty chill crowd and the music is good. It's small though, so if you are looking for a big club, it's probably not what you want. have fun =)

We didn't go dancing, but seven of us went to Buddakan for dinner. We are all older, late 30s and early 40s, so for us taking the time for a nice dinner and good conversation was great.

It was the same crowd from the prom mostly - they did let others in - but it was fantastic!

I'm in my mid 30s and not a drinker and hate bars and clubs and didn't feel like doing the city.

I am hoping to rent a house in Cape May with about 10 of my friends - a little weekend getaway. There are haunted walks there in October. I figure Friday when we get in, we'll grab dinner out and relax and settle in. Then Saturday, we'll do tea time or brunch on Saturday then tour cape may a bit. Whip up some dinner together Saturday night .

After we eat, we'll play games and do mud masques and just be totally girlie and lame, stuffing our faces with snacks. A big ole slumber party!

It sounds like a really boring bachelorette party, but I don't want people to spend too much money and basically I just want to hang out together.

it's not NYC but me & my girls went to Posh & then stayed at the Garden City Hotel. It was awesome because everything was in one place. We got there early in the afternoon, had signature martinis are their restaurant 'Rein'...then hit the hottubs & pool. We then went up to our room & got ready for the night...we were gonna have dinner at their $$$$ restaurant (polo), but instead ordered in Chinese(best idea ever! $8 a person and so much more fun!) and then had VIP at Posh. It was awesome 'cause if anyone got tired or felt like going up to the room, or even just forgot something, the room was right upstairs. So we just danced all night & had a blast, and then the next morning went for massages in their spa :) It ended up not costing that much either since we all split the room.

ps: for NYC- 'Tao' is amazing! it's a restuarant on the east side....FABULOUS!! it's got an awesome trendy atmosphere & the food is to die for(not to mention the drinks!) Live music, awesome lights...it's got a little lounge & then opens up to a HUGE 3 story restaurant. it's pretty well known...it's been on Sex & the City a bunch of times & they also have a location in Vegas.....the website is www.taorestaurant.com

I've also heard cute things about the Beauty Bar in NYC...it's sorta like a spa/bar...something fun to do before dinner. I hear they do a 10pedicure & martini package :) good lucK!

yeah unfortunately most of the places that are a little bit more geared for an older crowd will be expensive, just like the W hotel, i remember they charged me $15 for bacardi and coke and it was a small glass too not even a big one
