Does anyone have any suggestions for places for dinner in the city for a bachelorette party? Nothing too expensive!

Re: Bachelorette in NYC
There is a really cool and very inexpensive Thai restaurant I like in meatpacking district called Highline and the downstairs part becomes a club/lounge and it has exercise balls for chairs-- really fun to bounce around them after a few drinks.
Also, meatpacking is great for fun restaurants-- budha bar, Buddakan (where Carrie Bradshaw's engagement party took place on the Sex & the City movie). I don't know your price point-- but I would expect typical city prices-- but great atmospheres for a bachelorette party/girls night out!
Park is great too (made to look like a park inside) and I believe also turns into a lounge/club after hours
For something low key, there's UVA on the upper east side-- and one of my fave Italian restaurants-- with a cute garden. Vespa in that area is great too-- also really pretty garden. That neighboorhood has Justin Timberlake's barbeque restaurant/bar-- Southern Hospitality that always looks happening.
Taj & Casa La Femme (Egyption Food) look really cool and different but I haven't been...
Good Luck!!!

Pipa's is in the ABC Carpet building on E. 19 St. Another great tapas place, my personal favorite, is Sala, which is downtown, or Sala 19 on 19th St.
Another good inexpensive restaurant is Eatery on 9th Ave and W 53rd. We went there for a friend's bachelorette and afterwards had a short walk to Naked Men Singing (Or was it Naked Men Dancing?) - in any event, hilarious show!

Tortilla Flats!!! They have 2 hours of unlimited margaritas plus a choice of an entree for something like $50/person. It's totally worth it and a lot of fun!

If you love Margaritas you should go to Maz Mexcal. They have the BEST BEST BEST margaritas I've ever had. They use all fresh fruit - the best being their Coconut. It's so creamy and delicious. The food is amazing too but a little pricey. It's on the upper east side - I want to say like 86th btw 1st and 2nd but I'm not 100%
