Bachelorette - Montauk

Bachelorette - Montauk

I'm brainstorming Bachelorette ideas and a Montauk weekend is coming to mind but I've never been. Have any of you done it? I'm looking into house rentals and feel like a lot of them you have to rent for the week but I would only want to for the weekend during the summer (this would probably be in July)

Does anyone have any advice or insight on this?

Thanks!

Montauk is beautiful but can be pricey during the summer months...especially the weekends!! I went to a bachelorette party out on the eastern end (south Hampton) for a weekend back in May and we had such a blast...because it was before the summer season it was much cheaper but the weather was still amazing! If you want to do montauk in the summer house rentals go super fast so I would start looking into it soon!! Good luck!!

I am doing Montauk too! My family has a house out there, it is my most favorite place to go! But we are going in March (it is actually the weekend of the St Patricks day parade) During the summer it is kind of hard to find weekend rentals, usually they are week only rentals. But check out vrbo.com or HomeAway! You might be better off with looking at hotels because those only require a 3 night stay usually.

I hosted a bachelorette party when I was a MOH in Montauk a few years ago -- we stayed at Sole East and got a relatively decent price for a Friday and Saturday night. We did 4 girls to a room but it worked out because we had 8 people -- I can't say what prices are today though. I attended another bachelorette party in Montauk for which we did have a house, but it was a weekly rental. Renting a house just for a weekend between Memorial Day and Labor Day would be pretty difficult--most (if not all) will be weekly rentals. I would say you may be restricted to hotels.

I wanted my bachelorette party in Montauk as well for next summer! However, once I started researching houses there...most are a 1 wk minimum rental. I found a few 4 night minimums but they weren't close to the beach or to town and the prices were insane! So then I looked into hotels but I really didn't want to split my girls up....I wanted a place we can all stay in together. So I was stuck and decided to look into other places to go and ended up picking Cape May :) If your heart is really set on Montauk, email owners for house rentals and see if they'd rent it to you for a shorter amount of nights..can't hurt to ask and some might work with you. Good luck!

Cape May could be fun too I never thought of that!

This is helpful ladies I definitely want to really try and see if ANYONE will rent me a house for a weekend but that's what I've been finding in my research too - mostly week minimums.

I'll try looking into hotels too we'll see.

Thank you! :)

I went to a bachelorette party in Montauk years ago for my cousin in the beginning of June. We stayed in a house that was 2 blocks from the beach. I think they got it for a weekend. A lot of people went, so that may have offset the price per person. I know it may be difficult to find a place just for a weekend but it never hurts to call the owner and see if they will work with you! If you can do Montauk definitely go! I love it out there.

That's a good thought too I could definitely just try calling - we'd be going with a decently sized group so house would be preferable to hotel if I could make it work!
