Bachelorette Nightmare
So last night was my B party! My MOH and BM's planned an amazing surprise and took me out in the city. First stop (of many) was a pole dancing class (which was on my list of suggestions that i'd really like to do).
It was soooo much fun. We had a party booked for 1 1/2 hours. After about 30 minutes, we were doing some floor 'work' (nothing that i hadn't really done in yoga before, just a little sexier), and i DISLOCATED my shoulder! I heard snap crackle pop. I felt it. And others heard it! They turned the music off and turned the lights up and MOH started rubbing my shoulder. My Aunt came over then and said, OMG, that does NOT look like a pulled muscle. I looked in the mirror and almost died when i saw it sticking up. I was in so much pain my whole body was shaking.
The ambulance came and took me to Bellvue (they wouldn't take me to NYU even though my BM's put up a good fight). The morphine did nothing. Plus i was scared to death about them putting my arm back in the socket. They gave me conscious sedation to put it back in. It's still extremely stiff and in a sling. I cannot take it out until i see a sports therapy doc asap. We didn't get home until after 3am, and to top it off, i was puking from the anesthesia.
Definitely NOT what i intended, or what my bridal party planned. Everyone feels awful (including me), and they got me the cutest gift bag of fun stuff. I was so excited to be a bachelorette. Luckily, i hadn't drank anything yet b/c then i wouldn't have been able to get anesthesia when they put it back in.
