Bachelorette parties

I have a question - I'm a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding this September and we're planning the bachelorette party. I'm just wondering what's typical for each bridesmaid to spend? We're doing a cooking class with dinner and drinks, then going out after and it looks like for the cooking class alone the bridesmaids will be paying over $200 each! It seems high to me, is this normal?

My fiance is also the best man for the wedding, so that's another expense for us for this wedding!

IMO, $200 is alot for a cooking class. I just went to my friends bach. party and it cost me $150 for cabs, strip club entrance, drinks, dinner and then we went out to another club later on.

I spent just over $100 for cab, strip club and drinks. Club admission was free.

I think I spent close to $100 on just a round of drinks in the city!

Over all, I know I spent close to $200-$300 after everything. But I agree the cooking class is priced a bit high.
