Bachelorette Parties

do any of you have any good ideas for a low key, relaxing bachelorette party? my friends and are not really into clubs. we were thinking of spending an afternoon at a spa and then going out for a nice dinner. any other suggestions? what are you all doing besides going out to clubs/bars?

You could go to a comedy club for dinner or a murder mystery dinner or you could have a little get-together at someone's house and have a psycic.

I was thinking of doing the spa thing too. There are a lot of day spas on Long Island that will cater to you and your girlfriends.

You can also try Gurney's in the Hamptons. Call around and get some prices.

I think a day of beauty and a dinner afterwards would be great for both you and your girls.

not sure if your into this, but for my cousins wedding there were alot of Jr. Bridesmaids, so i had a BBQ and we had a blast playing games .. one game was fun.. we asked her husband all these questions a head of time and at the party we asked her the questions and for every one she got wrong she had to put another piece of gum in her mouth! sounds silly but it was hysterical.. then we got one of those spa kits and relaxed and watch only wedding movies.. my best friends wedding, the wedding singer, father of the bride...(this is also a good thing to do the night he goes out for his BP if you are not going to do them on the same night.. takes her mind off it!!

for the adult party we went to billy deans male review.. it was hysterical.. i made her this HUGE veil, and we made her carry around a blow up man doll that was her husband for the night. i tipped the waiter 200.00 and told him to really get her good!! and they did!! it was a night none of us will for get!!

I'm not really into the club scene either, so I actually 'stole' another bride's suggestion here to go out East to the vineyards. I forwarded the info to my MOH and the plan is in the works!

We'll take a limo out during the day, visit some of the vineyards, then go out to dinner and maybe a bar afterwards.

My FH said it sounded SO boring, but I don't care - I'm pretty low-key.... LOL

Billy Deans is on newbride road in bellmore.. we went for dinner, and the show.. the dinner wasnt great, but if you go for the dinner you get GREAT seats..

I am a sucker for sleep over parties! Very junior high, I know- but it could be fun to cook dinner together, crack open a few bottles of wine, do facials, look at old pictures from when you really were in junior high...
