I need some advice about bachelorette parties. I'm excited that my girls are all talking with one another and planning everything, but last night one of them told me that probably what I want to do is not gonna happen.
My first choice is to spend a night at Foxwoods...and she said it's being shot down and that what we are doing is a surprise. She said I can pass along any other ideas that I have, but that they will take care of it.
I'm kinda upset by this because shouldn't I have some say as to what we do??? If It's a lot of money then of course I would pass on it, but any other ideas I gave was just going out in the city, which to me would cost just as much...
Any advice on what I should do and/or suggestions for places to go? I told them DEF NO Lucky Chengs or Lips or really anywhere that I'm brought on stage, don't really want that kind of attention!

i think we should have some kind of say in the location lol
i didnt want to discuss my bach party until it was time... so last night i was being verbal about it and my MOH didnt want to discuss it lol im like hello you have been bugging me to talk about it, im talking about it, and now you dont want to hear.
so she told me an idea they had, and i didnt like it. and i told her what i had in mind and im not sure whats gonna happen!!!
but im like, hmm shouldnt i have a say??????????

Foxwoods can actually get a little pricey. I don't see a night in the city being the same.
We went there this past July for my MOH Bparty. We had an awesome hook up but it still wasn't 'city' prices.

Could it be that they are really doing your idea (Foxwoods) but are telling you they’re not, so it will be a surprise?

Is it because they cant do a night away? If that's the case, I understand. If they are choosing something that is also a night away and same money...they should do what YOU want!!

I was actually thinking the same thing....I dont think my bridal party is reliable...so far i can't even get them together for a quick bite! I'm very upset about it. I only have 4 girls...1 is my sister, 1 is my future SIL and the other 2 are just friends...i wanna kick the friends out! I'm getting more upset than it's worth!
So I think I'll end up planning my own...no Lips or midget strippers or any stripper for that matter!

It could just be that they are trying to surprise you and tell you you're not going, but you will be.
I want my b-party to be a surprise so I gave my girls a list of what I did not want to do and gave them free reign over what the details are
trust your friends that they know you well enough to plan a fun b-party for you!

I'm planning my own it seems..... I wanted to go to New Orleans... but no one has the money to do that. So we'll do AC or Foxwoods....
Prob. is FHis going to VEgas and I wanna kill him

Thanks ladies! I'm fine with it being a surprise, but I just found out that it's only one of my BM's who doesn't want to go because she is how can I say this nicely VERY frugal and her suggestion was going out for a drink after my RD as the BP to save money, ugh gotta love the drama!

I actually planned my own pre-bachelorette party...ooops but my girls did not have a problem with that, I knew I wanted to go away and since alot of my girls are super busy closer to my wedding date, I gathered some info and booked a trip to Tampa from 3/17 thru 3/21, we are all booked and ready to partayyyyy!!!! I never even thought about it being wrong in any way but I know they have something up their sleeve with my bachelorette party and at this point I don't really care because I know Tampa will be freakin' awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ITA.. of course there will be some surprises, but if there is something you really want to do i think they should consider it and try for what you said... unless it is too pricey, which you would totally understand then!

I think that although your opinion should be valued, leave it up to your girls to throw you a fun night!! If it isn't exactly what you want, just take another shot and it will all seem better!
You chose these women to be your bridal party because you love them, and they said yes because they love you. I doubt they will pick something that is the exact opposite of the type of person you are.

i think you should have some say in it. it is your b-party. i know some stuff about mine, but they are keeping some a secret. my MOH knows what I do and do not want and anything she is unsure of, she asks

I was worried about prices myself..for the girls and I told them or my MOH that I wanted to dinner and bowling...I really want to keep the cost down and do something fun and they seemed to be ok with it.
I think the bride should have imput.
