So... I am my sisters MOH. She is getting married next month. She wants to go to AC for her Bachelorette party
Has anyone been to Harrah's in A.C? Any reviews, suggestions, etc?
TIA! Isabella

Re: Bachelorette Party
harrah's is cool because of the pool bar, but beware of the high cover charge (and it gets worse as the night goes on in my experience). the rooms are nice too
have you 100% decided on harrahs? i only ask because you may want to explore some boardwalk hotel options, there's a lot more within a short distance on that side

Haven't booked anything yet. Open to anything in AC, but she really wants to go to the pool party. Can you go to the party if you are at a different hotel?

Harrah's Pool is a good time... not sure how the party is in the summer though b/c the times I've gone have been in the winter. I personally love MurMur in the Borgata... they play mashups of everything (80's, pop, rap, dance, etc).
As for restaurants, there's a Carmine's in Tropicana. FH went to AC for his best friend's bachelor party last year and they ate at Wolgang Puck's in the Borgata...they actually had a private dining room in the back and FH said the food was excellent.

Yup, the party is open to everyone. My favorite hotel down there is the Borgata but it's expensive, however completely do-able if you're going to have a few girls in each room. It might also be cheaper to just get a suite and split the cost.
Tropicana is nice and also one of the cheaper casino hotels. They have a nice 'shopping' area with some stores & restaurants (this is where Carmine's is). It's def. convenient.
Cab fares to other hotels are not expensive at all esp. when split between several ppl.
Haven't stayed at Trump or Caesar's so I can't vouch for them.

when i go in the summer i just like being able to have easy access to the boardwalk and you don't really get that at harrahs. but the pool bar is open to anyone.
as for murmur i have heard great things, but heads up they dont allow any bachelorette paraphernalia (at least when i was there for my sisters bparty)

Re: Bachelorette Party
I haven't been to Harrah's but my friend just had her bach party there and had a great time! They did go to the pool party and I think to one night club but said that they spent a lot of time just hanging out together/drinking/viewing a stripper (lol) in the hotel room!
If you are still shopping though, I LOVE Tropicana. We stay there at least once a year. It's so nice because if the weather is crappy you have all the entertainment (from drinks to karaoke to fine dining) you need without having to trot around in heels in the rain or anything lol, but it may be a kind of long walk to many of the other attractions also... but, if it's just for a short trip, it really has everything you could ever need. Also, they email me offer codes like every other day, you can get such a great deal there!

Re: Bachelorette Party
I just recently stayed at harrahs. I like it a lot, good restaurants and whatnot but I hate how it is so far from the boardwalk. You can take a shuttle if you're a total rewards member to caesars ballys or showboat but they take like a half hour. The pool bar is cool but thats like it for nightlife there, the other bar is cool but kinda dead.
Tropicana has more of a nightlife scene because it has a club and a bar that are both regularly packed. Also Caesars has that dusk club in it and I like how its connected to ballys and so close to the outlets.

Re: Bachelorette Party
Pool party at Harrahs is great. We stayed at Harrahs once and it was not the best experience but we must have been on an off weekend. I have been told you wan to stay at the waterfront tower.
We have stayed at the Tropicana a lot and has always been fun. It is not luxury but nice and fun

Re: Bachelorette Party
The rooms at Harrahs depend on what part of the hotel you're in - the recently renovated part of it and those rooms are nice - we stayed about a year ago in the older room (comped rooms) and it was by the ice machine and needless to say we woke up to freezing cold water in our room and also the walls are PAPER THIN - we could hear EVERYTHING from this disgusting couple in the next room... GROSS!!!! LOL
Personally - I would check out the Water Club at the Borgata if you guys would be going down in the summer - it is the nicest hotel IMO down in AC and they have poolside drink service - Pina Coladas down there are AMAZING - I think they are $10? but I'm sure you could set up some sort of package - HTH!
Trop is also fun but the rooms are a little outdated - but you can't beat the big Wheel of Fortune!!! Love that game!!!

Let me know if you need an offer code! Also as for the rooms, the Havana tower are the 'nicer' rooms, but I've stayed in Havana tower and South tower and even the 'less nice' ones were totally fine and I wouldn't have had a second thought about it if I hadn't seen the other ones lol. Havana tower is also in a slightly better location.
As an aside, their cuban restaurant is delish and you should go there even if you don't stay there lol.

Re: Bachelorette Party
I went to my friend's bachelorette party in AC and we stayed at the Tropicana and it was great! The rooms are nice and it wasn't that expensive at all, esp if you're sharing rooms with all the girls. We had thought we'd venture to the pool during the night, but we actually found a bunch of good places right there to go out. We had dinner at Carmines which is a great place for a group and the food is amazing. There's a bunch of bars and a clubby kind of place as well. But like the other girls said, the cabs there aren't expensive and it's easy to get around if you want to go to other hotels. Have so much fun!

Re: Bachelorette Party
I personally think the pool party is cool but way overrated. I like the other clubs in ac better. Tropicana, borgata and harrahs i love staying in. Tropicana has a few good clubs, taj mahal has casbah and borgata has great clubs i think they are more bachelorette friendly

I am going to AC this weekend for my FSIL's bach party. We are staying at the showboat - I can give you more details about it after the weekend. Personally, I love the borgata!

FH and I went to Harrah's in the winter during a huge snow storm. We had a great time, we were in one of the newer towers though. Definitely recommend!
