Bachelorette Party Advice!!
Well what can I say. It began very badly and ended up being a really good time.
The story and some advice.
I let my 'friends' know the date a month and 2 weeks before the bachelorette party. Many said yes and 'couldn't wait' to party.
My soon to be sister-in-law was taking care of the party for me. She sent out an invitation a month in advance a few weeks after I sent my save the date and 12 girls said YES.
She then booked the limo. A huge excursion for 20 'lovely ladies', who said they would be going.
(6 seperatly live in the city & paid a %)
On the day of I receive 2 messages from two of my friends they will NOT be coming. (pitiful excuses)
I was so angry and honestly it's disgusting, rude, and they are a bunch of **** heads. In the end there was only five of us riding in the limo.
My sister in law had to pay for everyone who backed out. I am seriously embarrassed and annoyed.
I learned after the party that girls were extremely difficult during the whole process with responding late and saying yes and then backing out a week and even the day of the party.
My advice to anyone throwing or having someone you love throw you a bachelorette party.
Get your MONEY BEFORE HAND!!! If they don't send it in time, guess what they really DONT want to go. People will make the effort when they want to do something.
One of the three girls who backed out of the limo on the day of wrote a nasty email to my soon to be sister in law. She claimed she could have gotten a cheaper limo! She wanted to see the 'itemized limo expense', are you kidding me? Does she really think my sister in law was trying to make $$$?
Prices for the party consisted of this
$100 for limo for 8 hrs that included covering me and tip.
$40 dollar karaoke, including premium booze for 2 hrs and food and a private room.
Club 20 dollars and a free btl of champagne.
WOW that's a great deal for partying in NEW YORK!
Friends have been weeded out!!! =)
