so I think my bacherlorette party is this weekend and we may be going to a comedy club. I was told that if we go they are telling the place that I am getting married in two weeks. I am imagining that I will then get picked on the whole night. I am NOT looking forward to that since I hate being the center of attraction especially where it is a room full of people laughing at my expense. What do I do to make it more comfortable? Has anyone ever had their party at a comedy club and if so how bad were they on the bride? Thanks

Re: Bachelorette party at a comedy club
I went to the Boston Comedy Club last year and their was a bridal party there. It was good clean fun. they were not too bad on the bride. She was enjoying it and having a good time.
I think that is a great idea for a B-party.
I love comedy clubs.

Re: Bachelorette party at a comedy club
I think I would like to start my Bach. Party with a comedy club
I would prefer to be picked on by acomedian than go to a strip joint.
Do you think I can put in a request with the BP?

Jennbaby I wish I could. I am on some medication that does not mix with alcohol which makes it so much worse to be picked on!!!!! lol

Re: Bachelorette party at a comedy club
I've been to plenty of comedy clubs AND been picked on. It's actually fun if you let yourself get into it. Just relax and ENJOY!!!!!!!

I don't think they'd pick on you in a bad way. Enjoy the attention, it only happens once. Hope you are better from whatever it is you are taking meds for

Re: Bachelorette party at a comedy club
I too totally have a problem with being picked on. But here's my thoughts....
It's one night - for a few hours. What I have chosen to do is speak with one of my BM's, and she now knows what I want to do, and what I totally prefer not to do - which I think is totally acceptable. I mean, c'mon now - isn't the night a celebration of you & your upcoming new life?
Anywho - JMO....

Update on last night Re: Bachelorette party at a comedy club
I had my bachelorette party last night and it was fantastic!!!! We went for dinner and then went to a comedy club and everyone had a great time.
I only got picked on a little since there was another bride there who got picked on a lot more because her friends made her sit dressed as a bride with a veil and male organs as earrings!!!
My friends knew better than to try to do that to me!! lol
