I want to go to Atlantic City for mine. There's a lot to do, I recommend clubs/bars at the Topicana or Harrah's.... and it's a change of scenery from Long Island if you're looking for something different.

FH and I go to Atlantic city at least a few times a year, we've stayed at Tropicana, Trump Taj Mahal and Harrah's. All three were great and offered different things.Since I love AC so much, my MOH is planning a weekend there where we'll do spa treatments, go shopping, enjoy the beach, go dancing, etc. We'd like to try Revel because it's brand new and i hear excellent things. Borgata is a nice option too.
There are ALWAYS living social and groupon deals for AC... keep an eye out. Less expensive places to go would be Resorts and Trump Plaza.

Be careful with LIPPS. Make sure you know everything. We went for my friend's BP a couple of months ago. First we went to Bobby Flay's Steak House and had a wonderful dinner and delicious drinks. (If you ever go, try the mojito) It was great. When we go to LIPPS we waited about 5 minutes for our table (no problem at all there). We were planning on just having drinks, since we just had an amazing meal at Boby Flay's. Our waitress came over and was playing around with us and the bride and we were having a great time until she asked for our orders. We said we wanted a bunch of drink and all of a sudden 'her' voice dropped and she got kinda serious and told us there was a $15 FOOD minimum PER PERSON. I'm sure it's on their website etc., but none of us knew. It certainly was the responsibility of the person who planned the night to have this info but ce la vie. We were originally just going to order every dessert on the menu but there weren't enough desserts and each one was only about ($5). Great if you weren't in our situation. If you want to go right to LIPPS to start off a fun night, go right ahead and grab food there, but none of it is anything to write home about. We wound up ordering 3 appitizer sampler platters and TWO of every dessert on the menu, plus a round of drinks. We didn't drink as much as we were planning because we had to order all that food that no one wanted. They knew what they were doing too because it seemed like moments after we ordered the apps, they were in front of us. Everything is fried so they must drop the friers as soon as the previous show lets out to move things along. The waitresses are also the entertainment so they've got to do everything rather fast. Also once the show is out they shuffle you out the door super quick to make room for the next show. We had a blast just not as good a time as we had hoped and we wound up spending more money per person at LIPPS than at Bobby Flay's amazing restaurant.

IMO Lips is not worth the price. I went to bachelorette party there this summer and ended up spending $100 on bad food, a very short (but cute) show, and 2 or 3 drinks. We were rushed out too! And they charged us for the bride to take a picture with the cast lol - no biggie but they just really nickle and dime you.I heard culture club is fun too. Beauty and Essex is a great place to do a girls dinner in the city its in the e. village and they offer free champaigne in the ladies room which is a plus:)

I forgot about the picture charge. Di went up on stage and they gave her a shot and took a picture and we were charged for it. Agreed, fun time, I just don't think it was worth the money spent. For the same amount, I'm sure there are many better places.
