Bachelorette Party - it's a toughy

Bachelorette Party - it's a toughy

Because I have close friends from the BP coming in from OOT, me & FH can't have the Bachelor/Bachelorette parties until the night before the wedding. That also has to be the same day as the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner. I'm trying to get the rehearsal starting no later than 3 in the afternoon (that of course depends on when the bestman's flight gets in). So once that's over, the men & women will separate and we'll join again the following afternoon at our Wedding.

I think the boys were talking about going to play some pool and get a few beers together. Maybe at a pool hall or Dave & Busters. But I've got no clue where the girls should go. We're not really into 'clubbing'. And even though i plan to have a few drinks, i don't want the night to be all about getting drunk since I'm getting married the very next day. Any ideas? I live in Suffolk County and it would also be smart not to travel too far (like to the city) since it's gonna be a late night as it is, and an early morning.

I know... it's a toughy. Any suggestions??

what about a spa party with drinks at your house??? i know there are comapnies that come to your house to do mani & pedi's......or just a good old fashion pajama party!!!! rent movies from when you were younger and do chocolate fondue?

ETA - i see your gettin married just before new years....what about ice skating??? no scratch that.....someone could get hurt...no twisted ankles

or one of those paint your own pottery classes??? a lot of them let you bring your own alcohol

You can never go wrong with karaoke!

Or do a combined party and everyone goes to D&B.

thanks girls! There's a lot of good suggestions here. I kinda like that idea of having a good old fashioned slumber party with my girls. Or maybe we could go out and get me some fun lingerie for the honeymoon. lol.

Keep these suggestions comin' if ya think of any more.

A spa party is nice but I wouldn't suggest doing it so close to the wedding. Skin can be very sensitive to lotions, etc. I was in a wedding the beginning of last month and broke out from the oil they used. Try to steer clear of massages etc. Mani's and Pedi's could be nice!

You could also do one of those passion parties . (they're like a tupperware party but with sex toys).

I looked it up and there's one about a half hour away from me. I might try that! I never even heard of it before. Thanks

thats what i was going ot say.. what about a fun activity like spa stuff.. or something crafty.. you could get some bottles of wine.. and what if you got plain slippers.. like the ballet ones and some crystals and ribbons and made all your own slippers.. to wear at the reception or the next day getting ready

you'd be surprised how fun something like that can be with your relatives and close friends.. and it will be an activity.. with some cocktails.. instead of just being cocktails somewhere

-Head over to The Melting Pot for some fondue. It's really fun and great for a group and you can sit there for a while.

-Get mani/pedis and have a party.

-Have a cocktail party with the girls and go shopping.

-An old fashioned sleep over. You'd be surprised at how fun this can get.

-Bowling--rock and bowl is always fun.

-Karaoke

I say that and then some karaoke! If you are going to the melting pot on 110, there is a great karaoke place in melville on 110 called the rosewood inn. great song selection, great crowd!
