I am considering doing the 1 night cruise for my bachelorette party but it would cost the girls about $190 each. Do you think that is too much to expect for them to pay?? Whats the most you would consider asking girls to pay?
Edited to say: THe price would include lunch and dinner on Sat, and breakfast on Sunday, the room for the night and entertainment on the ship.

Re: Bachelorette Party Poll
I went to one where the bride asked for $200 p/p. That covered the limo, the suite we stayed in, the show we went to see, dinner, and (I was underaged so I went back to the hotel) the club afterward.

Oops I voted in the poll 1st. I think $190 is fine. It's overnight, right? What does it include?

Honestly, it's up to them. Ask them if that's what they want to do and tell them that's how much it's going to be.
Personally no, I wouldn't be able to ask them to spend more than $100.

For what you are doing I think that seems really reasonable. It depends. I know girls who were asked to shell out $700 and then I know girls who paid less than $100. I think it depends on what you're doing and what your money will get you. Good luck and have tons of fun!!

Re: Bachelorette Party Poll
I just paid almost $400 for my sister's b-party. It would have been nice if it was less, but it was such a good time that I didn't really mind. What would you do for under $100 a person anyway?

Re: Bachelorette Party Poll
If you are planning on doing something overnight, that is a good price. If you did something else, after the limo, dinner, drinks, and the hotel your girls would probably spend something around that anyway. I just went to AC for my friends bachelorette party and it cost me $250 for the hotel, gas to get there, things we bought her (veil, bride shirt, etc.), dinner, and drinks in the club (and then more for gambling).
BTW, what cruise thing are you talking about. It sounds interesting.

I agree. My girls have to buy a ton of stuff for my wedding (dress, shoes, etc.) , pay for my shower, some have to travel to NY for the wedding, etc. I honestly couldnt ask them to spend alot on a Bparty.

Re: Bachelorette Party Poll
I think it would be considered by how close you are to them? it is tough though, i would try to feel them out... throw out the suggestion and let them know, and see how they react

Re: Bachelorette Party Poll
isnt' it up to the BP to plan the Bachelorette? Why are you planning it and worrying about the moeny... i thought it was the BP's job...
but that said, $190.00 isn't too bad. i've spent more and i've spend less on bachelorette's i've been involved in planning. the bride never knew what anything cost. we put it together.

Re: Bachelorette Party Poll
I'm with the rest of the girls - it all depends on what you're doing. I've been to 3 already and so far we've had to pay $65 and $50 for transportation at 2, and $75 for accommodations at another. That didn't include food, liquor or entertainment, so easily for 1 night we spent between $150-$200 each. If you're doing an overnight thing I don't see any problem with that price, and if people don't want to pay it they don't have to go. Think of all the people that do Vegas - it's at least $250 for flight - and that's low balling it - then add in food, hotel, drinks, gambling, clubs!!!

Re: Bachelorette Party Poll
I just did my SIL's and asked for $160.00 pp. Everyone was fine w/ it and we got not one complaint. Some were traveling from as far as California to be there also. It was a spa party so you got a 1/2 hr massage, 1/2 hr facial & 20 min foot treatment/rub, food, wine & beer.
$150 is around what I'd expect.

First I think that's totally reasonable.
Second--Where does a 1 night cruise go?

Nowhere. They just go far enough out in the ocean so that they can open the casino.

Re: Bachelorette Party Poll
My girls chose to spend 150-200 just on a hotel room..that was without all the extras that they did.

For my sister's b-party we got a limo ride into the city and a suite at the Affinia near Penn Station. Then we went to Lucky Chang's for dinner and the Culture Club for drinks and dancing. It wound up costing each of us almost $400, but it was fun.
