Girls, ever hear of a bride paying for their bachelorette party (like the 'hotel' part) and then the girls taking her out for the rest of the time (dinner and drinks)? A friend suggested this to my sister, and we both think thats outrageous - and would cost me $1000! Of course my sis told her otherwise, but my friend (?) said she's been to bachelorette parties where this had occurred. And who was the bride - Paris Hilton???? I certainly can't afford that!!! Let me know if you ever heard of this, or if my friend is trying to pull a fast one! TIA!

You never know these days. But FH and I entertained the idea of an out of town Jack and Jill thing, we were just going to look for a cheap hotel that everyone could afford, but we nixed the idea knowing that alot of people wouldn't have the cash to afford something like that. I know we don't have the money to afford to pay for them to stay in the hotels!

For most of my friends we have done a hotel, a thingie of some sort, dinner, and drinks It cost a lot of money but we had a great time! We never let the bride pay!
Although, for mine, my sis is my MOH and I want to give her money towards it! She just started working full time, lives with my parents still and is rather broke!

i have never heard of that! the bride doesn't pay for anything, unless she wants to - if your BMs can't afford the hotel, they should do something they can afford!

I think only if the bride insists on doing a particular thing that's especially expensive, she should really chip in so it's not as big a burden on the other girls. But normally the bride shouldn't have to pay anything.

I think it depends on what you want to do for the bachelorette party.....to be honest with you, if I was in a wedding party where the bride insisted on going to Vegas, or Miami, or Bahamas, etc....I would expect the bride to help pay for some things.....the bridesmaids can't be expected to pay for EVERTHING....but, if it's a basic, one night drinking, partying, dining, then no, I would not expect the bride to pay for anything really....unless she wanted to.....

we are going to vegas and I am paying for my flight/hotel. I don't know how its gonna work once we are there. I think they may pay for one dinner and tickets to Thunder Down Under but I think that's about it!

I am going to Vegas for my bachelorette party and not only did I plan the whole thing, but I'm paying for my own everything too. I just didn't want anyone to feel like they had to go since it's not a $100 trip, you know? Once we're there, I have no idea how it'll work, but for the trip itself, I paid for myself.
If it was a local bach party, I believe the bride doesn't pay for anything at all.

I've never heard of such a thing. I paid for MY hotel room (only because I insisted) - but I've never heard of the bride paying for everyone's.
