bachelorette party, who pays for what?? see question

me and 6 other BM's are arranging a b-party for our friend. we're divided about who pays for what.
some of us say the bp should chip in and pay for part of the guests share in addition to the bride's share and the other half us are saying that we just pay for ourselves and the bride and the guests just pay for themselves.
what do u guys think?

BTW- we're renting a partying a bus and going bar hopping.

so i'm one of the girls who thinks we should NOT pay for the guests. if u were me and the marjority of girls thought we should pay for the guests what would u do? would u refurse to pay part the guests share? or just s*ck it up and pay another $50 (or whatever it may be) towards the limo bus?

I think everyone should pay their own... I've been to a bunch of Bachlorette parties. People know that those parties are going to be a bit more expensive so if they want to go they know to bring lots of money to help pay for it. It's going to be a good time no matter what. I don't think the BP should be for most of it. You just divide by the # of guests.

we just had my friends last week....sadly it was me who paid for it all. Personally i think its rude for ppl not to help chip in but in this case the BP members are outta town so it was only a group of girls then me and 1 other BM! I still think the 1 BM that was there should of chipped in but hey its over and nothing we can do about it! Shes mt best friend and i know she would of done it for me but point is sticking it on 1 person is wrong

Ya know what...If they know her well enough to go to the party they should pay their own way...And then you girls the BP just chip in for the Bride....

You can't make the bride pay her own way...that's not right.....

I've been to at least 6 bachelorette parties & i've only paid for myself & chipped in for the bride. I'd be angry I had to pay for other people But if the bridal party is all for it and I can't get them to change their minds....then I'd go with the majority. I'm just someone who always gives in because I don't want make things difficult.

You pay for yourself and the bride...in fact, all of the bachelorette parties i have been to, ALL of the people attending the party chipped in for the bride.

The bachelorette party is completely different than that shower. At a shower, guests are bringing gifts so asking them to help pay for the party is a major faux pas. HOWEVER, a bachelorette party is a night of fun just to celebrate with the bride. Everyone pays for themselves and also helps to chip in for the bride. I have never heard of the bridal party paying for the bachelorette party at all.

If you are in the minority, I'm not sure what you should do. I would reiterate that the bach. party is different from the shower and the norm is to have everyone pay for themselves. I HIGHLY doubt any guests are expecting for the bridal party to pay for their night out.

wow what a shame- ppl are just rude. i agree with all the smart ladies above. everyone pays their own way and for a portion of the bride.

thats where we disagree. the marjority of the bp thinks we shuold pay for the bus and i think the guests should help chip in. i agree that in way what so ever should the bp be responsible for people's drinks.
