bachelorette party wine tour

any ladies do this? what company would you recommend and do you have an idea on pricing? I looked at a few sites and it seems they will be about $100 per person (or even a little more).
I got the price of a limo rental/bus rental from a company and it seems like it may be less expensive to do that and pick my wineries and organize it myself...but do i want to deal with all that work?!?! i think it would only end up being about $60 per person to do it that way.
any thoughts/suggestions one way or another is appreciated.

i did this for one of my friends bachelorette parties and it was sooooooooooo much fun!

See what's included in the wine tour one. It usually includes tastings and lunch. That might make up for the difference.
If you do it yourself while just hiring a limo, you will have to call ahead because a lot of places want big groups to make appointments.

I Went to 1 about 2 years ago it think it cost each of us $175 including limo and lunch

We are using LI Wine Tours for mine. We are getting a package with:
8 hours of limo
3 wineries with 5 tastings at each winery
buffet lunch
a stop at a farm for shopping/tasting
and (randomly) a subscription to New Yorker magazine.

All for $125 each

I am doing this for my bachelorette party! I dont know info though bc my sister is planning it. But when I was looking into limos, Elegant Limo and Legend Limo said they have wine tour specials. So maybe try them. HTH

I have heard not so great things about the pre-planned packages. We initially looked into booking one, but found out it was cheaper to do independently. However, if you are having over X amount of guests you do need reservations at each vineyard you go to. Definitely recommend the vineyards though!!!! We had a blast! It was for my cousin and her FH's joint B-party's. Then we went to dinner at Bella Gusto in Wading River, then headed home, changed and hopped on a 40 person party bus with about 25 other friends and bar-hopped the night away.
