Do you have to invite someone to your shower just cause you invited them the the bach party? And vice versa?

Re: Bachelorette Party/Bridal Shower?
I ask because I feel like there a couple girls who I want to invite to my Bach party because they are super fun, but don't want to ask them for a shower gift as we aren't super close. What do you guys think?

Re: Bachelorette Party/Bridal Shower?
what i have learned in this experience is that you can't worry about 'asking for a gift' ..i left a few people off the list for that reason, i just felt like it was a lot if we arent so close... and i wound up insulting people. You do what u honestly feel is the right thing to do and worry about nothing else.

Hey there ... I would think if youre planning to invite someone to your Bachelorette Party youd invite them to the shower. The Bachelorette Party is typically your close friends. So why wouldnt they be at the shower? Some people have a shower and invite all the women invited to the party. Other times people keep it small to close family and friends. There's really no right or wrong way ... JMO

I disagree I think the shower is more for close friends and family and the bach party is more of a fun night out with everyone

Re: Bachelorette Party/Bridal Shower?
Shower should be your closest friends and family, Bachelorette is your GIRLS. Whether it be family and friends, it's the girls you socialize with.

Re: Bachelorette Party/Bridal Shower?
i am going to invite some people to my bach party that werent invited to my shower... my shower list was huge for some reason and there were a couple of people i wanted to add but it was already at like 90 something so i figured we aren't super close but socialize sometimes and that my bach party would be fine

Re: Bachelorette Party/Bridal Shower?
I'm having people at my bachelorette party that aren't invited to my wedding (so obviously not my shower either). I see the bachelorette party as a party so everyone and anyone is invited to have a crazy good time. Friends of friends are coming. Whoever. I want everyone to feel comfortable (and not be stuck with just my friends incase they don't know anyone else). And my wedding/shower is just for close friends and my family.

This is what I thought! I mean I have people I would invite to one but not the other, both ways! I dunno! I'm so confused!

I think you should do it whatever way you are comfortable! From the post it seems like everyone has a different opinion. I think its one thing if a friend brings their friend so they arent alone, dont know anyone etc. I just think for me personally someone said the Bachelorette Party is for the girls you socialize with ... so I dont see why they wouldnt be invited to the shower. Maybe thats just me!
Plus there is some truth to the smaller the better ... No one wants a Bachelorette Party full of drama which happens when many girls are together ha ha

Re: Bachelorette Party/Bridal Shower?
To be honest I don't even want to have one! I always wanted a Vegas bach party, but noone thought they could afford it. Now if I have it near here, my west coast friends won't come. I'm just so bummed about it all that I'm done with it!!!

Re: Bachelorette Party/Bridal Shower?
I'm going to the wineries for the day. Everyone I invited to my bach party was invited to the shower. I wanted to do something simple - I'm older and have lived plenty of bach nights and we all have a lot going on in our lives!! Lots of my friends have kids, husbands, other weddings, etc. I don't get too upset when people can't come! I understand b/c I've had to say 'no' to events, too!!! Plus 1/2 of my friends are pregnant! Who wants to go to a bach party pregnant????
