My MOH asked me who I wanted to invite to my bacherlorette party. I assumed I'd have to invite my entire bridal party which consists of 2 under drinking age girls (19 & 16). I definitely know drinking will be involved and I a) don't want to leave the girls out, but b) don't want myself or anyone else responsible for watching the under agers to make sure they're not drinking.
Am I expected to invite them or is it OK that they don't come? My MOH thinks its OK. I just don't know what the proper 'etiquette' is.
Edited bc I, as usual, can't spell

Re: Bacherlorette Party Question
I have a similar scenario, personally I am pretty young myself and theses girls are family so I knew going in that asking them meant a slightly less crazy bachelorette party, we are going to AC and somewhere where whoever wants to drink can drink and those who are underage cant, if it was one girl who was young i'd say yea its okay not to include them but if you have 2 thats a good portion of your bp and i think you should include them esp if you did not consider them junior bridesmaids or anythign like that

Re: Bacherlorette Party Question
I have the same problem with my BM/cousin. It stinks because she is turning 21 a month after the wedding but obviously won't be 21 for the b-party. She actually approached me about it and said to not worry about her with b-party and actually the date that worked best for everyone, she won't even be here (she has a wedding to go to that weekend).
I think maybe extend the invite but let them know that drinking is going to be involved and also possibly places where they might not be able to get in. Let them decide for themselves... maybe they can snag an older friend's ID for the night.

Re: Bacherlorette Party Question
My friend invited a few underage people (family) to her bachelorette party, and to be honest it was a huge mistake. she thought by going to a place where she knew the owners she would be okay, but it was just terrible. Instead of letting the underage girls slip through, they placed huge X's with sharpies on their hands so the bartenders wouldn't serve them. It was terrible and it totally ruined her night.

Re: Bacherlorette Party Question
I would just opt to do a seperate bachelorette party and include them - something really low key. Spa day or something - dinner out, sleep over type thing so if they want to drink it's not a biggie b/c they are in someones home.
I think that if you invite them it could turn into a babysitting party and you are obviously concerened about it so you dont want it to be something hanging over your head.
it might be best to just flat out ask them and put it all out on the table.

Re: Bacherlorette Party Question
I've been an underage BM and I've been in BP's with underage girls. I don't think you can leave them out.
you should come up with an idea that includes them, and then you can go out with the girls who are of age after. You can do a dinner before hand, or just hang out.

Re: Bacherlorette Party Question
Let me tell you... I was underage for my brothers wedding and my SIL handled it amazing. They had a house party so I could be involved and then went out just them after. It was so much fun and made me feel a part of things!
