Do you think it is strange to have my FMIL practically begging/trying to self invite herself? My mom is not even going.

Re: Bachlorette Party
IDK I feel like akward. MY mom didn't know I had sex until I told her I was pregnant.

Re: Bachlorette Party
Something to consider is doing what I plan on doing.
I am having a Bach Party with the my BP and friends - one night thing in the city.
And then I am actually having a weekend getaway with my mom, grandmas, aunts, cousins, and sister in law to like AC or Mohegan to have a spa day and some gambling. It's the 'Old People' Bach Party as they like to call it but they are really looking forward to it.

Re: Bachlorette Party
That is a really good Idea i will have to run that by my MOH/Sister. I hope something like that works. I mean could you imagine, we are at the sex toy party the host shows a toy and i say 'Oh! FH (aka her son would really enjoy that' So a moment I could live my life with out. Why can;t parents understand how akward this kind of thing can be when they are around!!!

Re: Bachlorette Party
My FMIL would NEVER come along. She'd flip.
We're going to the gun range and then to Lips.
FMIL is uber-religious.
However, my mom is down with it and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have her come along. She's young though...mid-40's, so it's not weird or anything. I have friends who are near her age, anyway.

My mom is only 40 anf FMIL is 50 that is not that old at all. However I still l think it is so akward.

Re: Bachlorette Party
You could either tell her its not appropriate or have something before the real festivities that your mom and FMIL can join in on, like dinner before going out with the girls. But she should not be out at the bars with you.
I didn't invite my mom, but I did do dinner before hand so my younger cousins could come.

Re: Bachlorette Party
The problem is she (FMIL) know where we are going at she wants to come there. I seriously don't understand why she feels the need to push this. My mom has no problem not going.

Re: Bachlorette Party
I think it's strange! I'd probably just laugh nervously and avoid the situation.
