So my wedding is in 46 days and my sister who is my MOH hasn't even planned my Bachlorette party. She and one other BM wanted to go to dinner then a broadway show. I didn't want to do that. I felt it was very boring and not me. So I told them where I wanted to go and what i wanted to and they refused. And said that they didn't want to do that. So I haven't herd from her about anything. And my other girls are asking me what were doing. I am going to be so upset if I don't have a bachlorette party. Should I just go ahead and plan everything myself? What should I do?

Why didn't they want to do what you suggested.. what was it?? Was it a money issue?
I would try to compromise with the MOH and BMs if it was a money issue.. If it wasn't then...plan your own!!!

theres was more expensive then mine!!! I just wanted to go to eat with all my girls and then to the awesome 80's prom. it's not expensive at all. they wanted to rent a limo go to eat at some fancy place then to a play. a play can cost about $100 - $200 per ticket. and then the limo and then dinner. my other girls don't have alot of money. They just don't want to go cause they think they will be embarassed or soemthing and they really don't go to clubs. But thats what I wanted to do.

Wow that's not cool! What is it that you want to do and what is their reason for not wanting to do it? Is it like stripper-related and they aren't comfy in that environment? Because I know I wouldn't be comfy but if that's what the bride wants, that's the end of the story! You smile and do it!

They must be some more into that. I think going to eat and the 80's prom is a great idea. IF that is what you want to do, talk to your MOH one more time and if that doesnt work, then plan it yourself.

That's really ridiculous! i would talk to your MOH once more and if she still says no than tell her you're planning it yourself and not to bother buying tix for a Broadway show or whatever. If you have enuf girls that would go to what YOU want, then do it!!!

Did they forget that you are the bride here? It's your call of what you want to do! You are the boss in this operation! ooo did I sound like a Bridezilla there? It should be about what you want, not what they want..tell them again what you want and tell them to respect your wishes!!!!
Come to me with anything..I have my own drama with my own bachorlette party and Bridal shower incase you have missed it!

Maybe they are trying to surprise you, by creating a diversion and being difficult. Just trying to be optimisitic...but if not then always have a backup plan and start to make arrangements for your group.. Maybe you'll wind up having two bachelorette parties!

Re: Bachlorette party vent
I'm having the exact same problem. Because all of my bp is from out of town, I ended up picking the date that worked best for everyone and sent out an evite nominating on of my bm's as the coordinator (she told me to have eveyone email her). I point blank said...this is what I want to do, if you would like to join us, let us know, if not...so sad, too bad! So, I'm going to the Awesome 80's prom with at least a few of my b-part. Some cant make it, one of them will be about 8 mos prego at the time, so she actually said she would drive us all there in her minivan to save on $ limo as long as we promised to come back to port jeff afterwords so she can go home and we can continue the party at the bars...
Overall, it's worked out pretty well, but I found that i needed to step in and plan it myself. Some girls dont realize it's supposed to be about what WE want, not what they want.
Good luck. And if they dont do what you want, you can join me and my party...we're goin June 21st!
