So i would like our Bachelor/Bachlorette parties to be on the same night i spoke to our best man and with his work schedule he can only do august 8th or august 29 is doing it the weekend before the wedding too close i dont want to put a financial burden on people but i feel august 8th is so far ahead!! opinions please! TIA

FH and I are having ours the same weekend, two months before our wedding. We have many reasons for doing this (namely, one of my best friends is getting married 20 DAYS before us and so I don't want to do anything for our wedding during her wedding-related stuff ... also so she can actually participate in my bparty and shower, etc.) so I really don't think it's a big deal. You do it when it's convenient for you and the people you are inviting, if possible!

FBIL/best man lives out of town so we are doing ours weekend before once everyone is here.

we are doing mine next weekend and my wedding isnt till july.... we figured it would be easier to spread it into 2 flights worth then have everyone stay for an entire week...

A friend of mine is getting married July 31 and we're doing her b-party June 12. So about a month and half ahead of time. Honestly, I think that's a good amount of time, considering you're going to have SO much to do the week before the wedding.

I'm getting married the day after you and my bachelorette party is on August 8. I don't think it's too far in advance. I feel like the closer to the wedding, the more busy I'll be. So a month before doesn't bother me at all. I actually chose that date.
