Back and Married - Some Tips!
My wedding was Friday and the day couldn't have been more perfect! We had an outdoor night ceremony and the weather was so beautiful. Our DJ was so fun we all had such an amazing time at the reception. Our DJ had people doing pyramids and stage diving including us and our fathers, one with a knee replacement.I just wanted to offer some advice, that no matter how much you plan before the wedding something is bound to occur that day that you didn't plan for. There were probably 100 times that I could've let something bother me that day, but I refused to be upset on my wedding day and I've received so many comments that I was such a genuinely happy bride, because in the end all that matters is you are marrying the man of your dreams.
My very expensive, gorgeous headpiece broke before we even put it on my head. Luckily the hotel had some superglue. We had to take the comb out and the headpiece just sat on top of my head. It was so heavy I had a headache all day.
My mother and I have a rocky relationship and she literally started with me that day because she was jealous of something my MIL had that she didn't. She drove everyone nuts, the staff and coordinators were complaining. It was so bad I probably am unlikely to talk to her again. She literally tried to ruin the day, but I just grinned and bared it.
We did the first look and all our pictures before the ceremony so I could be at cocktail hour, but the coordinators, maids of honors, and bridal attendant couldn't figure out how to bustle my dress and took them over a half hour to do so and I only got to go to cocktail hour for literally 10 minutes.
The bustle was done wrong. I also had a bustle for my veil, done wrong.
Someone stepped on my dress and ripped the tool right out from under it. All of the tool under my dress - gone. Probably because the bustle was wrong :)
We had rehearsed a first dance, but all the adrenaline and kissing, we missed a couple of steps.
But really, with all these things, we never missed a beat. My motto was - at this point there's nothing I can do so let's just keep going. And I really didn't let one thing bother me. It really was the happiest day of my life. So I hope you all remember that through planning. Don't drive yourselves too nuts. And on the day of the wedding just remember why you're there. And in the end as long as you are married to the right person then everything went perfect. Good luck!

Glad you had a great time and looked at the positives instead of dwelling on the negatives. Can't wait to see pictures.

Congrats and best wishes - I am so glad that you enjoyed your day and the bottom line is that YOU and YOUR DH enjoyed the day. There are way too many things that you can lose control over and just like you, it's best to have a good attitude about what's going on and just move on. Remember the wedding is only one day and your marriage is a lifetime, there are going to be plenty of ups and downs!!!!

Thank you!@xbudgetbridex - I just knew I wanted a good day and whatever went wrong couldn't be fixed so I had to roll with it, too. I think if you make the same decision you will be fine that day too!

I know this is not everyone's style, but this video made everything worthwhile. So much fun! We are in the bar business so we tend to get a little crazy -https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151551162062574&l=6272859348859605434
